Agreed, the duty free one is better - comes with a free kit lens and battery grip. No adapter though, but sell the battery grip and get the adapter. :D

Depends on your circumstances. Some people switching from another system (or using this as a second camera) may prefer the lens adapter to get the most out of their investment.
The kit lens (28-70 f3.6 - 5.6 OSS) is ok, but not amazing. Through discussions with sales people the actual price of the lens (to stores) is about $150.

Thought about that, it's generally lumped with DSLRs so i just followed convention. I think they're calling it a Mirrorless DSLR
SLR refers to the reflex mirror, the one thing this doesn't have. It's the A7's selling point; big sensor with no mirror = compact body
In January it was the same price with a free adaptor AND battery grip (worth about $200)
Don't know where you saw that, I've been tracking the price of these for a while and I've never seen it this cheap for AU stock.
Same store VideoPro and a few others. I think only a few others did the free battery grip deal.
