Best Travel Card

Hey Guys

I am travelling to the US and Brazil in June/July. I was wondering what the best card would be for withdrawing USD and Brazilian Reals?

Over the last couple of months I have been simply buying USD, however I don't want to take too much with me in cash. When I'm in Brazil I plan on withdrawing large amounts of money to minimise the fee etc. I also have a Citibank Platinum card if that's of any use?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Mick

    citibank plus account.

  • If you are already a Citibank card holder, the process only takes about 10 days to receive your Citibank Plus card after completing an easy online application.

  • Cool, thanks guys.

I put in an application for the 28 degrees card last night, only to find out they now charge 3% for cash advances - even if it is loaded with your own money. So I rang an cancelled my application and then applied for the Citibank card.

    • No harm in having 1 spare, even if you don't end up using it. I'm pretty sure 28 Degrees has no annual fees so couldn't hurt :-)

    • The difference is Citibank Plus Visa debit is a debit! No need to have a line of credit against your name just for travelling :)
