Genuine Tiger rice cooker in Brisbane?

I'm officially sick of the cheap stuff you get from Big W and Kmart. Gone through 3 "cheap" cookers and now I'm ready to get the real deal in the Tiger. Anyone knows where I can get the genuine ones in Brisbane?

  • Try the shop in Sunnybank. Opposite to Post Office. They are selling Made in Japan rice cooker, can't remember if they got Tiger or not.

  • +1

Save yourself the money and buy a Panasonic. The new ones (SRD Series) are very good and sub $100. I actually bought the base model SR-DF101WST for $65 and can't fault it. It does steaming, congee and rice really well. If you wanted to spend a bit more, go for the one with an LCD display SRDE103WST (I used to have the previous model of this and the diamond coating on the bowl finally wore out after 6 years of service, hence the need to buy a new rice cooker).

  • Im not that sure about brisbane but if you can buy korean or japanese made the quality is very high.

Korean grocery shops will have both types in usually although make sure that there is english writing on the machines buttons and you can change the audible alerts to english too. I recommend Cuckoo rice cooker as it can do a load of rice in 5-10 minutes on turbo mode. Will set you back around a bit though.. This is the one i have http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/like/190818716287?limghlpsr=true&…

  • I had been searching for the same, but noted that a good brand is Zojirushi, made in Japan. There's a Singapore company that sells then, and ship to oz.Google momorice. They even offer oz power plug. I just got back from holidays so will start my hunt soon.
About shops in Brisbane, I had been to a few and even approached one of the Korean shops. Also tried enjoy but they only have one model….
Good luck with search and let me know what you end up getting.
