    Just got my email confirmation. I'm so glad I've had my oven pre-heated to 180 degrees for the past 72 hours so now I can defrost my 16 credit cards in it, and I can now go unlock my secret safe behind my picasso painting, and my wife can switch my life support back on. What a relief!

    Looked like such a scam when we all bothered to check who registered the website before having hissy fits.

  • Well I cancelled my card and still got the confirmation email and have access to the online stuff. I checked my cancelled credit card for any transactions and none were made after cancelling. I think I'm more worried now than before cancelling. :P

    • U will since they say the nearest two issues still being sent out after your cancellation, let's hope it is not what I think

  • Placed order on 18 June. Still have not got confirmation, should I be worried.

    • Maybe give them a call or check your spam folder

  • I cancelled my card not long after ordering, two days later get a confirmation order so I cancelled the subscription, today I get an email asking "Please kindly advise by return details of your enquiry for us to serve you." I'm going have a guess and say that it will be difficult to unsubscribe. good luck bargainerers.

  • I am not going to cancel it now, hopefully they will send renewal notice before 27 issues is up and will be able to cancel then.

    Very easy to remove from auto renewal of subscription/Preferred Subscriber's Advantage Plan. Just email [email protected] with your Customer Number

    Does a double issue count as two issues???

    • Yes it does

      "TIME publishes six double issues. Each counts as two of 52 issues in an annual subscription. TIME may also publish occasional extra issues."

    Couldn't care less about the "free gift". The Mens and Ladies gold watch set I once received with a Time magazine subscription was disgustingly cheap and tacky, worth maybe $5 at a discount store.

    • yes, don't want junky watches. laptop bag should be pretty decent if the image of the executive backpack is anything to go by.

    I followed up on the free gift. Looks like we'll be getting a laptop bag by end of July.

    Here is the reply email I received from them:

    Thank you for contacting TIME South Pacific Customer Service.

    It is with regret we inform you that due to overwhelming demand, we are permanently out of stock of the executive backpack. Thus, we do not have any information about a shipment of new stock for this gift in the near future.

    Our marketing department has therefore arranged to provide a substitute gift, the free laptop bag, of comparable value for affected subscribers.

    Meanwhile, we are pleased to confirm that the free gift is now in our delivery system. It takes approximately 4-6 weeks from the day of receiving the full payment.

    Should the free gift do not reach you by end of July, kindly contact us anytime by quoting the 9-digit customer number. Or you may like to manage your subscription account online at www.timesouthpacific.com/customerservice.
