  • Nice deal and delivery time

  • The Korean version F400K/S is available slightly cheaper @$565 from T-Dimension and comes with a second battery.

What's the downside? Any relevant frequencies not catered for?

    • Thicker I think because of the extendable antenna.

Also, I think it didn't support wireless charging but I'm not 100% sure

    • what's the difference between the F400k and the F400S?

  • Yes the back cover of the F400 wont support wireless charging so youll need to buy one that can. There is also some additional bloatware.

However the second battery and presumably more readily available Android firmware updates is the reason i went the Korean version.

  • Oh man now that the cat-6 version with the 805 is available in really torn between which one to get… Great deal though!

    • Sorry noob question, the difference with cat6 is cat6 has 0.2 ghz faster and better gpu? Anything significant? Thanks

      • As far as I am aware the cat-6 version has an improved LTE modem hence the name, a snapdragon 805 instead of 801 which includes an improved GPU (adrenu 420?). As it is a Korean version I would assume it has the TV antenna as well. Also I hear Korean released phone usually have a second battery and external battery charger which can double as a phone stand.

From various reviews I have heard that the 805 eliminates almost all of the small stutters that might occur, particularly when gaming.

In the Galaxy S5 Cat-6 version I have also read that the improved chip provides better battery efficiency so even though the screen resolution got bumped up the battery life is comparable to the original S5's. This theory doesn't hold up with various early looks at the G3 one which claim that battery life is almost exactly the same.

here's a review. Slight improvements from what i can see.

  • Would this be a grey import then?

    • Yep sure is

      • how are LG's service centres with these things - like any others? Refuse to handle it in AUS if you buy a grey import?

Does LG even have a decent repair base in aus for local stock - never bought a phone/dealt with them.

        • Yeah in Sydney they do. I brought my Nexus 4 to their repair center in Auburn when I cracked my screen and back.

  • bought a white one for sister. good phone.

    • Hows the screen on time battery life for the LG g3? benchmarks placed it below the One plus one, sony z2 etc?? true?

  • Hopefully someone can help me on this one. If I were to buy this phone from QD on my 28 degrees card, will I be entitled to the card's price protection feature? I'm thinking it might get cloudy using an ebay store but hopefully someone has tried (successfully or unsuccessfully).

    • Also for those that have purchased this phone, what narration does it show on your credit card statement?
