Good deal, but for those who don't want to wait on delivery the 64gb ultra is great value from msy for about $10 more pickup:

I had a look a while ago at the different speed claims for the SanDisk Extreme's compared to other USB sticks. Where people are getting mixed up or confused is because of the tricky way some of these companies quote speeds between different capacities. They often quote the fastest speed in the range and then put "UP TO" on the whole range. The 32GB and 64GB the OP quotes and "wisc" mentions are both SanDisk Extreme CZ80 models, but by design the 64GB is faster than the 32GB ( also a fair bit more $ ). I think that"s what "wisc" was referring to, just not clear in wording ( wisc usually spot on with facts ). There is even a faster 128GB version, but that is a different model, it's called SanDisk Extreme Pro 128GB, with "Read speeds up to 260MB/s and write speeds of up to 240MB/s"
That is a top quality professional use drive and even has a more sturdy build with aluminium metal casing and different look. At around $182+ delivered it should be good, although it still only a 5yr. warranty.

      • @ozhunter68, your right, wisc refers to the same model as this one. I made a wrong assumption yesterday as I only looked up his second link not the first. Good pickup.

        • No probs. I am a bit of a stickler for details. Nice post for a great usb drive, one of the fastest 32GB drives around for under $50. Keep up the good posting, that's where I get a bit slack ( still 0 in over 3 years ).

I picked up one up the other day, they are awesome! I used it to install Windows 8.1 on some new machines with SSDs. Was lightning quick!

  • Hope you have better luck than me. Brought 3(cz80) SanDisk Extreme 16GB USB 3.0 from OfficeWorks match price $15app each. All crashed, no problem
    returning then.

    • All three crashed? Were you copying the same files from the same system interfaces? Either dud batch or maybe corrupted files or similar?

Bought one a while ago. Excellent USB with great speeds.

  • Mine showed up today.. the frustration free packaging was cool.. just a cardboard pouch with the stick inside and a coupon for 1 yrs subscription to their recovery software.. Quick testing of a 4gb windows 10 preview iso shows that its roughly 85mb/sec write, 220mb/sec read..

No more waiting 5 hours to copy movies onto the stick.. :)

    • oh wow! still waiting here but when it arrives, these speeds mean I can retire the other USB's :)
SanDisk Ultra with a write speed of 4MB/s, I may just need to bury you.
