would suggest something else like the g430
the cover on the ear muff will fall apart over time and therell be all these black bits stuck around your ears, unfortunately they dont sell replacement. their forum has people complaining about these issues, some were lucky enough for logitech to send out new headset
got the g230 from DSE at a decent price, is there actually much difference with the surround sound aspect? Everywhere I was looking seemed to say they were negligible (or you could use alternative software - Razer Surround?)
I suggest you either look on ebay ($60-80 thanks to the coupon you can use) or other electronic retailers such as jb-hi-fi (not entirely sure but usually $60-$80) since there are ongoing deals; but HURRY or its just the stock price!!!! they're not going to last for long.

On ebay, u may be able to get cheaper than other products if u could find a seller that has a "make offer" option.
