Getting spammed like crazy since today - calls and SMSes. I did NOT check the box to be contacted in this offer. Watch out.

    • Me too, I came back here to check the post because I'd been contacted and wanted to see if anyone else did. I told them they had the wrong number, so hopefully that will help…

Better to firmly tell them that you didn't opt in and that they are to remove you from all marketing lists. They should do it on the spot. Saying wrong number means they might try again.

        • @muncan: Haha good idea, my data plan isn't good enough for that ;) I just blocked the number. Haven't heard from them yet, they'll most likely try again though.

Just got a call from someone offering more albums to download for free every month if I have a newspaper subscription. Asked the caller what a newspaper was. He sounded sad.

got a fantastic Ministry Of sound Chillout Sessions XVI double album thanks :)

  • Got a phone call today too even though I opted out!

  • The caller sounds dodgy. I asked why I have to go through him instead of just taking the offer via the website and he tried to convince me that through him is the better way. I'm not convinced these guys are the real deal, may be just harvesting credit card numbers.

  • This is what I get for using my real number. Non-stop spam.

I should have known better! Registered for 2 "free" albums with The Age & also SMH but I've been getting spam calls from them! And I'd forgotten to download the albums & codes already expired!

If you receive calls from (02) 96968990 it is from SMH and (02) 96968933 is from The Age! We've all been scammed!

To stop receiving these menacing calls, I suggest install free call blocking apps from Google Play Store (if you use Android) & blacklist these numbers.

    Lesson learned: NOTHING IS FREE!

    • I also received a spam call from SMH but with a different number from above (02)96968966.

  • the mofos called two of my mobiles at the same time.

  • Got called today, I really have no patience for these people that try and sell things over the phone.

  • I got called yesterday, and just after I told the caller I wasn't interested and hung up, the same guy called my other number. The number was Victorian - (03) 9938 2698 - even though I only signed up at SMH and not The Age.

Sorry to everyone who is getting spammed by Fairfax.

  • Got Ministry of Sounds Chillout Sessions Chillout Sessions XVII using a 'spam' sim. :D Looking to get Running Trax 2015 with my other token when it releases.

  • I ignored a call on Monday from 02 9696 8933. Today I got a call from 02 9696 8990. I knew I should've ignored too. Seller was trying to get me to subscribe for like $445 or some insane amount lmao

    -_-

    • Did they wake you at 5:45am (WAST) too like me?

  • I got a phone call the other day because of this promotion too, said I hadn't downloaded the album yet and the lady left me alone, no calls since!

  • think this should be marked as expired - i registered again on both sites (the age/smh) using a new number and even though the website said it will sms me the code, the code never came through… althought this probably means the mobile number is now on their call list!

Still working on Christmas eve ;-)
Registered again - 2 codes sent to same number. Repeated with another SIM. Now to ditch those old SIMs.

    • Limit is on 10,000 redemptions, not code. Still able to redeem 28/12.
