Heller Sienna Ceiling Fan - 1200mm, Light + Remote $49 @ Masters (In-Store Only)

120

Pretty good deal for a 1200mm ceiling fan with light and remote. Reversible blades either white or timber colour. Has summer / winter direction switch. Heller brand.

I was there about 45mins ago and floor stock about 3/4 pallet when I purchased mine. A guy beside me purchased 3.

(Note tried to upload a photo however timed out on my 3G service. Unfortunately a generic link to the Masters website.)

    Is this the model https://www.masters.com.au/product/900041706/heller-1200mm-r…
Its the only Heller with remote I could find.

    • No, the one in-store has an oyster style light fitting

    • Didn't know of this Heller brand and read it as 'Hell of a good brand', then saw the comment and your img and it was good.

Anyone know roughly how much this would cost to get properly installed?

    • It would depend if you have an existing fan or not. Ceiling fans require extra bracing in the ceiling so they don't fall down.

      • How much would it cost if there was already a fan ?

Ceiling fans require extra bracing in the ceiling so they don't fall down.

What are you talking about? Normally you just attach it to a joist. The bracing is only if you need to put it between the joists for some reason.

These fans are popular with DIY-ers as it can replace an existing ceiling lamp, with no new wiring needed.

    • Piece of string type question.

If you can screw straight into the ceiling joist and reuse the light wiring shouldn't take too long.

    • I work for myself as an electrician and regularly install fans and i generally quote without looking at the job- $120 to $150 depending on roof access and if block needs to be installed or if remote kit installed.
If remote kit is wanted or needed you can save time due to the fan active wire is not needed if replacing light with a fan & light (usually fan active already installed if replacing fan & light with a new fan & light) and if you have existing block in roof for support its a pretty simple change over.
Price also depends on location,i am on the central coast of nsw and i have heard sparkys charging $175 even up to $250 per fan especially in sydney.Get a few quotes most should give a general quote over the phone after asking a few questions.

  • Can you please provide the SKU of the fan you bought so others can try to find the same one if they go to their local Masters?

According to the brochure I have here, it's 900041705.

As per this image, it should be available most if not all stores.

      • Thanks

Thank you 'foobar' I can confirm 900041705 is the model I purchased and the image is the one.

    how much where they originally?

  • and the photo sees it ends on the 29th

    • That's only for the gas and paint at the top. The ceiling fan and air conditioner are until sold out

  • So what's the direct link to 900041705?

Wow no wonder Masters is struggling to make a profit, they're pathetic. Woolies should sell it or get out.

If you can't search by SKU then what's the point?

Hate Masters even more now. Worse than TGG and BigW combined.

As it says in the catalogue it's only available in stores not online. unfortunately that is why you can't see it online.

    • +2

You can search by exact SKU but it's not on their site so no hits. Probably clearance stock in store only. Masters online product listings are nothing near as bad as BigW.

Masters as a retailer is excellent and I personally prefer them to Bunnings. Good to have some competition and alternative product mix in any case.

Don't be hatin'…we'd be worse off without Masters.

  • Found a white one but it's an 8 not a 5, same price though https://www.masters.com.au/product/900041708/heller-1200mm-a…

  • Here's a reversible one (for winter) and 40cents cheaper https://www.masters.com.au/product/900041704/wesley-1200mm-r…

3 speed but 4 blades. No remote. Must have sold out on the remote ones with light. That was a super bargain.

    Retrofit a remote if you're that lazy. ~$60 https://www.masters.com.au/product/100648189/heller-remote-c…

I bought two of the $49 Heller ceiling fan on the weekend.
The box states it is reversible for winter use.

If u want further savings, buy 2 = $98 plus an item over $2 will allow you to get $20 off.

Got two of these in the last sale at stratco. They are good buying at this price. I think I paid $42 each. But that price blew me away. The remote kit is usually $40 alone. They install easy but can look a little dated. Though all fans do IMO. Ideal for a quick turnaround retrofit in a small bedroom. The light works off a red button on the remote, and the light switch becomes the fan isolator. They need to be installed (wired in) by a qualified electrician.

    • Mine didn't look all that stable at full noise. So I took apart the remote and pit some electrical tape over the high pcb switch so the kids can't engage full warp.

As an electrician u get what u pay for, especially with cieling fans. If you dont mind ugly cheap look and noisy, rocking fans that will prob go faulty in 2 years go for it….who knows but, they may be ok? Ill find out soon, i dare say ill end up getting heaps of work installing them. lol

Thanks for posting the deal. There's still a fair few at the Northland/Preston (VIC) store as the time of this post. I wonder how long my unit will last given its cheapness.
