I have a spectacle frame I like and I'm looking for a store (optom or any other chain optom shops) that will replace the lens for me. I just need a single vision lens replacement.
I know Big W Vision will do it for $100 but I'd like to know if anyone knows of any other place that will do a lens replacement for cheaper? I'm trying to avoid online stores for now.

I have been wearing specs for 30+ years and find that you will get what you pay for.
My lenses cost me a lot more than $100 but they don't give me any issues.
I always get 1.6 high index plastic, so I know I pay more in order to have thinner lenses.
I tried the $100 specsaver lenses but ended up getting a refund.
I suppose it all depends on your prescription though, and the shape of your frames.
For the record I am in the vicinity of -5 in both eyes with a little astigmatism as well.
My optometrist in Footscray VIC can replace lenses for $60

I think your cheapest option will be to go to your nearest Vietnamese/Chinese neighbourhood and find an optometrist there.
