…why is Dick Smith selling tickets to the Tennis?
My guess is that it is a cross promotion that Dick Smith got into very cheaply. I am sure that it looks better to have bums in centre court seats than a lot of empty seats. And it gives the organisers the excuse to discount the seats. Those people who booked and paid the full price well in advance could be a little peeved. As well as not being able to attract a lot of the high profile players, another sign that they are struggling is that the naming rights often change.

I used to go there every January. Even though a lot of great players will be in Melbourne and not here, it is a great atmosphere - even if you didn't have centre court access.
