      Echo is not made in Japan. They are very deceiving. It's actually made in china, but they have plastered "Japan Engineered" all over the place. I had a look at one last weekend and the quality of build and materials is not that impressive. The attention to detail on the Stihl was much nicer.

  Get the Echo. 5yrs warranty,made by the same company that does Shindaiwa. Put the McCulloch to shame.
  If you can stump up another $130 get the Echo SRM22GES straight shaft.
