Drive or Fly to Sydney from Mulgrave

Hi everyone,

We - My wife & 2yr old daughter and I are going to Sydney for 2weeks, 28th March - 11th April, staying at Wyndham Resort. I've heard that P/T is pretty good there so wouldn't really need a car. We want to go to the zoo, opera House, habour bridge & the Royal Easter Show. I have been looking at flights but it's around $500 from Tullamarine. Can fly from avalon for around $400. Should we just drive, I know it's roughly 10 hrs.

Any suggestions/advice would be much appreciated.

Thank-You

  • Where are you going to get parking in the CBD? I'd fly

  • I think you heard wrong… P/T in Australia and especially in Sydney is horrid…

I'd still suggest to fly though, traffic in the city can get a bit confusing.

  • Just drive. It's not 10 hours and you can stop on the way and visit the giant Ned Kelly and the giant Merino sheep at the other end. You can drive there in 8-9hrs if you set your cruise control at 130kmh

  • It will be very easy to get to all those places by public transport from Wyndham and horribly expensive and or difficult to get a park for your car so you don't really have a choice.
