Hey Rep, seems like a new store, website layout looks slick!

Just wondering if you guys stock the 240GB version of the 850.

Also, saw the price and specs on the Rosewill Thor V2 system, how the heck do you sell at that price?!
I'm a system builder and parts alone is more than the selling price haha, it has me baffled. If I had a spare $1k to drop, it would be here.

    • Hey :) thank you so much about the feedback on the website! we will be doing even more changes within the next 24 hours

I will try my best to make a 250GB 850 a weekly special thank you so much !

      • I would aslso like a 240 250 deal

512 is a bit over kill and price/gb

EDIT: Nvm it seems the Rosewill Thor V2 price was a typo. Sounded way too good at $1060 @ free shipping. Now $2700. Got me all excited too…

  • I'm looking to get a 500GB SSD for my new build but what opinions on which of the 2 you would buy?

    Samsung 850 EVO 500GB for $302
    Samsung 850 PRO 512GB for $369

This review says the following: http://www.computershopper.com/storage/reviews/samsung-ssd-8…

"In most performance aspects, the SSD 850 EVO came close to or even bested the SSD 850 Pro—which is still the fastest SATA drive we’ve tested to date. The SSD 850 Pro only decisively trumped this latest EVO drive on warranty—and even there, the SSD 850 EVO’s five-year warranty beats that of most other mainstream drives by a couple of years."

What drive would you recommend to purchase?

    • +2

Get the Pro. It has double the warranty (probably not a major concern at that duration) but the clincher is MLC vs TLC NAND.

Add to that the issues with 840 EVO drives, which sport TLC, and you have a product line to avoid.

  • I would definitely get the PRO, the EVO is having alot of issues.

I'm trying to buy the SSD,but the only option i'm getting is bank deposit.

why is there no buy with credit card/paypal/debit card option?

    • +2

I am having the same issue, very keen on product at this price, but need a more solid purchase option. At least the ability to pay via credit card? Paypal preferred as I don't even have the card on me atm.

      • Can't get a response out of the rep, anyone know where I can get a price match in case it sells out before I can hear back from them?

        • Try emailing your local retailers

    • Agreed, was ready to buy with creditcard/paypal but sorta hesitated now.
I checked out the warranty terms to find anything that may invalidate that 10yr warranty:

      1. The warranty is 10 years, or 300 Terabytes Written
" 300 Terabytes Written (TBW)** which equates to a 40 GB daily read/write workload over a 10-year period."

      http://www.samsung.com/global/business/semiconductor/minisit…
      http://www.samsung.com/global/business/semiconductor/minisit…

      1. Warranty terms: SSD "was sold by an Authorised Reseller or Distributor of Samsung; and purchased in Australia"
I'd hope Massa is not selling grey imports which may invalidate this

      2. If I need to make warranty claim in 8 years time, will it be direct to Samsung or must be done thru retailer? If the latter that may be a pain in the ass if the retailer have moved on to other ventures

      • seriously? 8 years time?

That is like getting mad that your 100MB Zip drive might fail soon. Outrageous!!

        • Thats ok, you can keep paying full price for new items when your stuff breaks.

        • +1

@payton: kind of ironic statement considering you are the one in the market for a new SSD. lol

      • Confirmed that buyer deals with Samsung directly regarding warranty.
The Massa website has logos for ANZ Visa Mastercard and Paypal, but those options dont seem to be offered

        • Is this confirmed to be Genuine Australian Stock???

I dont want to have troubles when i try n do a warranty claim.

  • Just Placed an Order on Monday this week.

For those who are looking for 1tb 850 which is sold out at most places in Au, this is a really good bargain for intermediate solution.

  • Any IPS Monitor Deals Coming?

  • how long will it to arrive?

    where is it shipped from?

I dont see an address on the site.

    • As far as I can tell it's getting shipped from Melbourne.

I've got a confirmation email with tracking number yesterday, but Australia Post doesn't have any information about it.
