A lot of negative reviews on this, reports of it dying in a short space of time…

    • Damn!!!
I'm keen to buy something like this (one that does more than just project a light), and after reading your comment I had a quick search and saw that a few places have high star ratings of around 4 or more.
BUT… after actually reading actual reviews from actual purchasers I can't say I'm interested in having to buy a new one every few months!

If there's one thing I hate is mis-advertising to push a product!
    $50.49 shipped

    • So lets pick the most expensive and compare to that? Is that really your business practise?

  • Any decent parent would realise that playing music and projecting images onto the wall is going to STIMULATE a baby, not "promote an ideal sleeping environment for baby." Put the money to block out blinds instead.

    • I guess I'm not a decent parent then!
I/we find that the only way to keep #2 still for long enough to actually fall asleep is to distract her using devices similar to this!
Ps. Don't believe me, I'm happy to drop her off for a few nights!

      • Of course you are, poor choice of wording on my part. We had a sleep consultant visit and the first thing she did was remove all that crap. Her words, "Do you like sleeping with music playing and moving lights going off - several times a day?" One word - "Routine."

        • No, really I'm not… That's why I want to drop my kids off! ;)

You read and get told so many conflicting stories over the years on every aspect of parenting that you soon realise to just do what you have to do for your own 'individual' child!
In a general sense, you are correct about the stimulation, but our kids need to be drained before their night sleep! Little man (nearly 3) can be sat in front of an interesting action or musical cartoon for a little bit to bring him down. But her (14 months)… is lucky to sit still for more than 5 minutes at a time. And like I said, she needs a bit of razzle dazzle to keep her still!

        • @Snoop: I hear you. I'm currently in survival mode. Luckily my first practically puts himself to bed - for fun.
