I've noticed like half the store is 1/2 price these days. Seems the supermarket wars are on.

    These are quite addictive!

You can get more variety (sweeter ones to fiery hot) in your local Indian grocery store.

1kg bag is about $10 all year round. Note sure where it is, just ask any of your Indian friends.

My favourite one is Haldiram's Khata Meetha. Can go through a 1kg bag in a day or two!! So stopped buying them …. hehehehe

Bhuja is much better than similar others in the market as it is made in sunflower oil whereas most of the other brands are cooked in palm oil.

        • Are you Bhuja rep? You seem quite passionate about sunflower oil details- I saw same post twice. 😄😄😄

Are those Made in Australia like Bhuja is?

        • No it won't. Imported from India.

seriously, this stuff is like crack. Probably better if you don't buy some. Supposedly 5 servings per bag… i probably knock the bag over in 2 sittings if im exercising self control

  • How much are these normally?

    • +1

      picture says was $3.30

  • Footy season is back on!! Time to stock these up and beers

    • +2

Due, you don't have to, like, wait for footy season to get beers. You can get 'em anytime man! Wooho!

Just an FYI too, costco stock an 850gm bag of these for about 9 bucks. At this price its same same, but normal prices costco is much cheaper

Yeah, but opening one of those big bags results in me eating an entire big bag. With these smaller bags you can at least try to pace yourself.

      • good point haha

    Good for making you fart

  • Really wanted these the last time they were discounted but my local store didn't have them marked and I didn't question it until I got home. Thanks.

You can get large packs from costco, forgot how much thought. But if similar per 100g price, then smaller packs are better as they stay fresh.

  • my wife is now buying 5 bags…She loves it

If it doesn't look like something your great-grandparents would have recognized as food in their childhood, you probably should not eat it…

      • +3

Don't know about you but I'm pretty sure my great-grandparents wouldn't have even heard of things like qunioa or chia and I highly doubt they would have had a choice from the plethora of different cuisines we have today. New things aren't always bad.

        • I guess I should have written "someone's great-grandparents". I have nothing against quinoa or different cuisines, indeed they enrich the range of things I consider "food". They all have been around for centuries.

But "edible products" that are engineered for maximum profit for their manufacturers usually lead to bad health outcomes for consumers. Unfortunately if you look at your Coles or Woolworths catalogue over 90% of the advertised items fall into that category. Most of them originate in the 20th century.

      • depends .. which country your great-grandparents lived during their childhood!!!

your negs still won't make me like it :P

The best among bhuja is nut mix which is $1.92 and not $1.65 …

    • yep, nut mix is the best

    • +1

      Can confirm; bought some today.

$1.92 is still 1/2 price according to the tag.

  • Nice find. Yes they are '''''addictive''''

what else I find addictive is the 'Rodeo Mix'sold at Coles. It has pretzels, bbq corn, soy crisps, broadbeans, almonds!
