Not a bad find for a cheap 15.6" with a touchscreen. Just be aware that with such a slow CPU with similar performance as a low grade Celeron or Atom, you are really only getting basic entry level computing.

Still not bad if you really want to try a toutchscreen, but I would wait for the much more improved and suitable for toutchscreens Windows 10 out soon. I know you can probably get free/cheap upgrade to W10, but would not be as optimised and could run into problems.

  • Hahaha, true. But in all fairness, with 4 GB of fast ram, it should perform similar to the popular Asus T100 after you have replaced the slower hard drive with a cheap 120 GB SSD. All up for around $500 will give you reasonable performance, with the addition of having an external portable 500 GB HHD for an extra $10. Also looks like you could add 4 GB ram if that's what you need. I hate using small screens and small keyboard/touchpads, so would prefer this as a second backup/travelling computer or for the kids.
