What to Do with 5mw Green Laser Pointer?

So as the title says, I need to work out what to do with this. Bought 1 just before customs cracked down on them, and haven't done much else with it! Certainly don't want to put it in the wrong hands (ie those that don't realise what can happen when you shine these in peoples faces). Also have 2 young kids. I know 5mW isn't going to pop a balloon or something stupid, but it can cause harm.

From what I've read up on in WA it's illegal to sell or possess or something, so yeah :/

Just wanna know if I read the rules right, if there are rules still.

Didn't really want to just put it in the bin!

    if you can't possess it, maybe donate it if possible? I'm sure some institutions would love that

    Offer it on http://www.iceinspace.com.au/ in exchange for postage if you want it to go to a good home.
    I know that NSW and QLD have automatic exemptions for astronomy use, so you would likely find willing takers there.
