  • Looks freemium to me. Should be on the AU store tomorrow.

Thanks for the heads up but its a F2P title so technically not a "bargain"

Just like any free monthly PS+ title.

I don't think you understand what freemium means.

        • I did not state that free ps + titles are freemiums.

This one is a freemium obviously as it is a free game with in-game purchases like Warframe etc.

What i meant is, the free ps + titles every month should not be considered bargains as it is a subscription service and you are entitled to the games if you have a + subscription.

        • @varunsic: Depends whether you like the games they're giving you.

If they gave you every game in the library for the same $5 a month, would it still not be considered a 'bargain' because you're paying for the subscription service?

        No, not really.

The free PS+ monthly games are full games (all be in nearly 100% indie these days)

Its a free game, you never had to pay for it nor will you ever so how can it be a bargain?

        Just my opinion.

        • I agree 100%. But the subscription is not free.

        • @varunsic:
So the reason this is a bargain while other F2P games aren't… is because you have to pay a subscription fee to get this one?

        • @varunsic:

My guess is the only reason its free for ps+ is due to the game not functioning without being "online"

  • As soon as I saw this post I knew there would be the similar comment "Free? but you have to pay for subscription". Time for people to get over it and move on.

  • I have an unrelated question regarding PS+.

I have a PS3 that a mate wants. I no longer use it, as the missus bought me a PS4.

If I sign up to PS+ and back up my PS3 saves, then let PS+ lapse, will I be able to use the saved games on the PS4 with the PS4 version of the game? (Example: Played a bit of Assassins Creed: Black Flag on PS3, is it transferable to the PS4 version? And If I don't pay the monthly fee, will those save games still be available?)

In short: I don't have a lot of time to play games, so don't really want to pay PS+ for something that I might play a few times a year. I do want the content available when I do play, though. I'm happy to pay for a month or two when I want the content, rather than pay a yearly fee.

Thanks for your time :P (and sorry for hijacking this post :))

You cannot use your save games from ps3 to ps4.

      • I guess there isn't a point for PS+ for me (As I don't play online).

I can understand that the hardware between the two can be quite different, but you'd assume the same titles saves would be compatible.

Thank you for your reply. ;)

Edit: Additionally so with GTAV Multiplayer. That the data was able to transfer over, and you could play PS3 and PS4 together. ;)

        • actually some games you can bring over your saved games. Minecraft is one that comes to mind straight away. I would think that this is the exception rather than the norm though. I would look into the games that you want to bring saves over from and see if they have that feature.

        • I have the plus subscription for the free titles and GTA. Worth it IMHO.

    • PlayStation®4 does not have backwards compatibility to play disc-based PS1, PS2, or PS3 games, but we will deliver a new cloud-based gaming service that PlayStation fans can enjoy. This article will be updated with additional information when it is available. https://support.us.playstation.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5…

Hmm.. so maybe it may be worth backing up..

So my further question would be:

If I pay for one month, back up all the data and let the subscription lapse. Then when/if this comes into fruition, continue the subscription to play those games.

When your subscription lapses, all content will be saved, just not available? Is there a period of time where the account gets deleted due to inactivity?

Is this the same game that's been free on Xbox Live for ages now?
