Diamond Energy is a privately owned company partly owned by US-based solar-panel manufacturer SunPower. The company retails electricity in Southeast Queensland, NSW, Victoria and South Australia.

They recently ranked top of the Green Electricity Guide for their commitment to renewable energy, and their prices are pretty competitive too. (It says they don't offer Green Power, but I think that's because ALL their power is green!)

I recently signed up, and I've been impressed with their personal service and how easy it was to change over.

    They're a private company, so I can't hold any shares, and I also can't work there as I don't live in Melbourne.

      Cool. Although you can hold shares in a private company, they are just not publicly tradable.
