And because of the long running battery life, Pebble blends into your day to day activities without slowing you down while running, cycling, jogging or just going about your busy schedule

You with your smartwatch. "sorry cant run anymore, my smartwatch just unblended with me and our batteries are dead" LOL

If the battery runs out on a smart watch it stops, not you. And how does it "blend" Love the marketing speak here.

    • I copy and pasted it straight from the eBay page. I didn't even read what it was saying properly, should've cut out those marketing terms :P

No it makes it more fun leaving it there. It wasnt a go at you…

        • I am actually trying to add another deal onto this, since I found an amazing deal on Sony Waterproof Walkman. Since the deal description becomes slightly massive, I might take it out :S

        • @AznMitch: Its ok if you do I was just having fun getting in before JV woke up.

        • @RockyRaccoon: I thought JV never sleeps :P Might as well leave some sort of indication (these comments) so that people who see this later don't get confused at what you've mentioned.

        • @AznMitch: No problem, if they do get confused - not read the full discussion, that's their problem. Worst can be they just neg my comment.

Got one for USD$99 from this deal 7 months ago and I'm quite happy with it and can confirm water resistance - been wearing it surfing in the ocean no problems.

    • same here

I have one and it is awesome - but I'm pretty sure they warn against using in salt water. So might be worthwhile grabbing a back up for the cheap price? I think salt will destroy it pretty quickly.
They are obviously clearing out the older model now the new model is in. The one with the fancy spy ring to change songs.

I usual shower/wash off after bathing in salt water. I do notice some corrosion build up over time on the charging connection magnets but not the gold contacts and it easily scrapes off using finger nail alone occasionally. I suppose if you subjected the watch to constant exposure and did nothing about the minor rust it might end up with damage but I'm pretty confident with mine. It has already spent very many hours in salt water :-) so something unrelated might go first - rechargeable battery wear out, band break or become obsolete. Which is not far off as I also wear a Xiaomi Mi Band on the other wrist with the phone ring vibrate function my mobile now almost never needs to ring/disturb others but have not tried that in the surf as I have not read/confirmed (or researched/tested admittedly) that device's water resistance/durability though I do understand it to be rated lower.

  • Note, in order to have this code be valid you have to pay with a paypal account, not just with a credit/debit card - because ….. reasons.

And since paypal is the spawn of the devil and always stuffs up for me, there is more than $15 of hassle in this deal.

I got the Sony Waterproof Walkman 2 weeks ago but paid $80 from DSE. I got DICKED! :( ah well, I've used them every day while swimming. Not the loudest speakers but is good enough to keep you motivated while swimming some laps. These are discontinued however the new ones sell for $200+ at JB

    • so did i! paid almost $68. oh well, bought another one as a spare :)

    • I paid 70 something few months ago… It was my first Ozbargain post and I completely forgot about a code that was active in DS at that time. :(
