Some people think these are a waste of money, but I like them for recovery.

Bought the ALDI compression tights during the snow sale last week to compare and can say those provide no compression at all.

Great Deal Burger especially on the Elite Compression. Normally it's double the price

  • Great deal, sad they dont have my size :(

  • there are a few on ebay the same price and can choose a few different colours

    • As far as I know, the elite pair only comes in the black/steel colour.

If you're able to pick a colour it means you're buying the regular pair.

      • Are these also elites? http://www.2xu.com.au/men-s-elite-mcs-compression-tights-ma3…

There's this new MCS stuff [dont know a huge amount about it]. I know the regular ones though are great!

        • Interesting, must be the newer version…

I have the elite pair in the post and ordered another pair today just so I could rotate between the two.

It looks like they both have the same fabric and both have targeted compression, so couldn't tell you the difference until I tried them on, but for $200, no way haha

    • I noticed that, though i'm not sure if they are necessarily genuine? they are from HK or O/S and I for one, [other may be inclined to] to buy from a reputable shop.

happy to be proved wrong of course :)

      • I haven't known wiggle to stock non genuine products

        • oops i got the order/reply stuffed up, it was in reference to the ones on ebay!

        • Yeh u wont know any wiggle when u have a pair of these on…

      • my elite pair looks really different then the pic they have on wiggles. the color difference is really distinct between the targeted compression material with lighter much more grey texture.

What's the difference between this and the really cheap compression gear? Or even the cheaper 2xu stuff.

    • Same i'd like to know too. I've seen a Nike one for$60 and New Balance $40.
      What's the difference after all?

      • Or Aldi ones for under $17…

      • All i want to achieve is to keep my legs warm during workout in winter.

        • I haven't tried Nike, so can't comment on those.

As for the ALDI Crane brand, they stretch too much to the point where there's no compression. I bought 3 pairs but I'm not complaining as I planned to just use them as an extra layer during the snow season.

If you just want to keep warm then these aren't for you as they don't do much against wind chill.

I also have a pair from Kmart which has stretched to the point that it is used as an extra layer instead.

I've had the 2XU for about 3 months which still kept it's shape and compression.

So I've had my fair share of the dirt cheap compression gear and prefer the 2XU stuff

        • You need the thermal versions. These keep you cool and is insanely cold once it wicks your sweat.

I'm not sure either… They both do nothing for blokes in the gym who thinks its hiding their chicken legs.

    • They make my butt look big

  • D: darn it, Just picked up a pair of Nike Combat Core Compression Tights :( ah well they were about half the price of these. Hopefully they're good

  • Thanks OP! I bought a pair

  • Does everyone here wear underwear with their compression bottoms?

    • i usually do, but it is not comfortable after 1 hour running (wet cotton undie under compression). tried not to wear undie once, felt good. :p

      • Haha cool I haven't done it yet but I tried it on at home and it feels like it would be extremely low friction and everything would be sitting in the correct area.

  • Yes.

    Good price too.

www.ribble.co.uk have a 10% off code at the moment 'Bank10', if you spend 60 pounds equivalent you get 10% off and this brings the tights down to a dollar or 2 cheaper than wiggle but Ribble only have sz small left at time of posting. They have the matching tops etc if you want to complete the look and get over the price limit for the discount.

  • God dammit. I just bought a pair off iconic for $100. Although mine is all black.
