Hey guys, I need to get one of these Targus backpacks. Just wondering if the Pewter backpack is worth the double price or should I go for the MCD-2?
I ordered a backpack and online order was complete was going to pickup tomorrow now I get a refund not happy

Yes I called the store they told me that they have them but can't find then at the moment ? Lots of boxes out the back ! Said to call back tomorrow . I have one on hold at another store so all good now
That's really odd, you might have to talk to customer service, go and save a screen shot of the product and price now :) Looks like a lot of them have sold

I did a click-and-collect order for the Targus MCD-2 bag on 03/06/2015 for collection at the only store that had them in stock (Altona Gate). An hour later, I receive a phone call saying that they don't have it in stock so they go ahead and cancel my order.
Fast forward to today and just for the fun of it, I checked out the store to see if they were telling the truth. I couldn't go earlier than today, due to being sick for most of the week and work. Any way, lo and behold, I find the bag in the bag section but it the label/description on the hook wasn't of the bag, but was of another time.
So I go and try and see if I can get the bag for the price I ordered it for and the store manager said it was impossible, citing that the store was "out of stock" and had an "inventory issue" at the time of my order. My thinking was that, he simply stuffed-up and couldn't locate the bag when my order was put through, and to make his job easy, simply said that it was "out of stock". I mean, when I said he had it in stock and directed him to the bag area, he couldn't spot the bag without checking the actual Targus tag/label on the bag itself. When the order came through, he probably didn't even know what it looked like and relied on the descriptions/labels already on the hooks themselves.
His explanation of why they have it in stock NOW was that they MUST HAVE received stock in the 2 days (between 4 June to 5 June) after my order, in readiness for their current Targus sale. But we all know that the reason for the current sale is to actually CLEAR THEIR CURRENT STOCKS, and to NOT RESUPPLY them with new stock. That's why they had this flash sale in the first place.
I did check the website today and it does say that bag is out of stock. I also went into Dick Smith at Highpoint and asked them to see if the Altona Gate store had any in stock, but the system said it didn't, even though I saw TWO of the bags hanging there!
Very frustrated. I wanted to call their Customer Service line straight away, but they're closed on the weekend, so the best thing I could do was put through a complaint through their online enquiry system.
Sorry for my first post to be a long vent. I just had to get it out of the system.
Nice deal on the backpack, Ive been needing a new one but wanted to look at them… but for $28 delivered Ill take a chance
