There are stores in Adelaide. Remember seeing the news about how some crazy peeps queued up for days to be the first ones to get a free artery-clogging doughnut ;-)

South Australia doesn't celebrate doughnut day, it's strictly for convicts

  • Yay going to Sydney Airport Friday!

  • +1

Good Deal, just to bad not many locations around in Sydney anymore, rather have 7-11 doing the free ones since they are literally everywhere!

Melbourne "T1" (Tullamarine Airport)- Fresh Takeaway

  • I wonder how many they mean by "Limited number of Original Glazed doughnuts available.

    "

    • +3

You get the ones the manager didn't eat :).

  • No stores in Canberra… but to my good fortune, I'm flying down to Melbourne that day and can grab one in the airport. :D

I would say SA is not included as Krispy Kremes is owned by the Shahin family in SA.

For anyone who know them ( On the Run Owners) they are the stingiest company you could find and would never give away a free donut

  • Hamplanets will be rejoicing.

  • Thanks guys. In brisbane domestic airport now this deal reminder just got me 2 free doughnuts - 1 for my partner and 1 for myself :-)

They don't seem to have an promo poster in place so you just have to ask for it.

Anyone tried Sydney International Airport yet?

    • Any tips on getting there cheaply?

Walk from Wolli Creek or catch the 400 bus?

Are the KK stores easy to find within the airport?

      • +2

Catch the 400 bus from Rockdale station

It's in the main food court area

        • +2

Hmm I can't find it on their website though. Only shows T2 (Domestic) and T3 (Qantas Domestic)… I swear I've seen it at T1

Btw to get to domestic airport cheaply, train to mascot, 400 bus to domestic.
Otherwise to international, train to Rockdale then 400.

I guess really depends which side of Sydney you're coming from though.

edit: Pretty sure the one at T1 has closed now that I think about it. They got replaced by Soul Origin.

      • By now (being towards end of week), I am assuming you are getting free rides from the Opal Card, or else the 400 bus fare > $2.50 value of the Original glazed donut.

        • +2

I'm getting free rides by Monday evening kiddo. ;P

        • Very nice - Erskineville/Macdonaldtown hack?

          This!

  • My girlfriend and I got one each this morning at Sydney domestic terminal 2. Wandered up at 630 am. No signage but no issues getting one.

  • http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Doughnut_Day (though of course who the hell knows who made/edited that page … if people can slip in fake aboriginal gods that end up in real textbooks ya gotta wonder ;)

    Hah - it's a real thing :D

Still makes me a bit queasy how they're associating themselves with the Salvos in order to serve lardarse food but I gotta give credit I was thinking they just made it up LOL.

  • Thanks! No posters/signs or anything just ask at the counter

    • +2

Just stopped in at the Auburn NSW store - they had a sign on the counter when you walked in & the staff asked "would you like a free doughnut" as soon as I approached the counter.

  • Thanks OP, had 5 including 1 from my sugared out friend. Would've been 6 if Central hadn't run out of stock. XD

    • I hear some people were even given chocolate donuts for free :O

      • +2

Sheesh waters, you always take it just that little bit too far… try and keep it clean, will ya'?
        ;-P

        • +2

          try and keep it clean,

          XD

        • @Scrooge McDuck:

So that's why they were so apologetic when it was served in place of the Original Glazed…

          Ohhh.
