How to Get a Custom Logo Designed for Cheaper?

I wanted to get a logo designed for my business. It would need to be custom designed as logomaker's basic designs would not help my cause.

How can I get a logo designed for cheaper?

How much does it cost to get one done?

Any help would be beneficial.

Go on freelancer.com, post a contest, spend about $50 and you'll get some decent entries.

Pick the winner, the winner gets $50, and hands over all artwork.

We just had a new logo created for our business using a local graphic designer, turned out great she gave us lots of feedback and suggested we went with a text / font based logo rather than a graphic. As she pointed out most businesses try to get their name into their logo… eg: LG SONY COKE etc this works to build brand awareness or reinforcement. Cost us a few hundred bucks ( but hey that's a write off to expenses) and we got letter heads our logo in all formats and business cards designed.

    • "…we went with a text / font based logo…"
And you got a copyright licence for using that font, didn't you?

Yes we did of course its a custom made font you dumbo…lol

  • I have had useful responses on fiverr.com.
I choose new providers who are seeking to establish a portfolio.
Note most charge $5 for the low res logo, then $10 or $20 for a vector format, which you will want if you need to print the logo.

    • I've considered that myself, but am a bit unsure of how it works, and envisaged having forked out small amounts to a dozen different people, and still no suitable logo. Are there any there that you'd specificall recommend mskeggs?

Hi, I'm a 1st year design student. Depending on the complexity, I may be able to design it for you. I'm still learning but this would be a great opportunity for my portfolio/resume. I'm willing to work with you; PM me if you're interested. Thanks.

      Hi Pea,

Appreciate your help. I've got a family friend who wants to create one for me. If I didnot like it, I'll definitely contact you.

But thank you very much for your offer and best of luck.

  • Make sure you get a vecotorised image not bitmap - will help if you want to print it out on large displays. Of course this isn't super important - as you can convert it later.

  • Thanks guys..!! That really helped me a lot. A friend's cousin offered me to create one up he is a student and will help him.
