Hi guys anyone know how to fix the open tray error on the Xbox 360? And don't tell me to get an xbox One or PS4….ill get one when l get the funds…

What model?
If it's the 'S' model (the one with the big power button in the middle), there should be a hole hidden between the grills on top (if the console's vertical). That hole is a manual latch to the tray - which can only be opened by using a paperclip.
Don't get an Xbox One. I mean, it'll fix the issue of the disk tray not opening because there's no games you'll be able to put in there. BAM.
Anyway. I have this issue on my Xbox 360, and you can fix it by pressing the button and shoving a knife or similar flat object in underneath to prop it up. Then it comes out. Quality hardware eh? Only Red Ring'd 4 times.
You might have a scratch on the laser lens and it needs replacing ebay $5.49 from HK
or it might be out of position and it needs a realignment
or Settings> system settings> Under one of those tabs is something to the effect of Auto disk read when tray is closed. Make sure it's set to "yes" and then try.
