Why don't you give them a call and let us know.

Possibly why it's discounted I guess.

        • I read 'possibly' and 'guess'. Better state some facts.

That's up to the OP, I can't edit the description.

        • @jv: Since when is the reason for a discount supposed to be listed in the OP?

        • @jv:

You don't need to edit the description.

Just comment. (It can be useful for a change)

Looks like a genuine Wubber BBQ!

It's OO/DD, so will probably fall apart on the second use. Looks tiny, flimsy, and a wire rack where the cast-iron grille should be.
You are probably better off with a pair of $10 butane cookers from Bunnings. Or a $50 propane camp stove plus frying pan.

    • Not probably…. you WOULD be. I can confirm it 100% (see below).

  • kmart were clearing out similar portables in June for $40.

might wait for the desktop version.

  • Would be interested in hearing from anyone who has used one as other Brand Name portables are $350 + without a stand.

Please, please, please for the love of God dont buy this!!!!!

I fell for it as a cheapy bbq to use on a once off getaway to the coast.
For the same money, go to Bunnings and buy one of those old school tripod bbq's with the nice thick heating surface.

    Look closely at the picture.
The thin tin pan used as the cooking plate on this thing is a shocker. It's quoted as "cast iron" to give the impression of THICK… but its not. It's really really thin. It burns to a crisp sausages on the outside, and leaves them raw on the inside. But then if you turn it down to low, it will only cook two sausages over the heat source, and the rest of the plate will be too cool to cook anything.

Dont fall for the fancy Weber Q shaping. Everything about this BBQ (and it's EXACT copycats at Aldi and other outlets) is crapola.

For a BBQ to cook, you need to have a good thick plate to cook on, and a reliable heat source to heat the plate properly.
You can get $100 BBQ's from Bunnings that actually cook very well. This is NOT one of them.

Oh… and those linked reviews are bullcrap!!!!
23 reviews, and all but two of them are from Nov 2012.
Please dont buy this. I beg you.

    • I have this BBQ and it works fine.

But $100 is expensive. Got mine for $50 few years ago on special at big w.

  • It is$79 now. I do no want to wait anymore.I am gonna get one for my"last party before back to school"lol
