Lavazza A Modo Mio Minu Coffee Machine - Free (up to $25.50 Profit) after $50 Cashback @ Target

2000

20/8: As many of you are wondering where your claim validation is being 10 days now, it has been confirmed that they have been a little overwhelmed with claims and will take an extra 5 days to catch up. Also 32 free pods appear to be on their way.

Lavazza currently has a cash back promo on their pod machines until 6/9/15.
The Minu is collecting $50, Target currently selling for $49 (EDIT: Some stores are now selling at $24.50) (normally $59) so technically you can profit $1 (or $25.50) on these.
Still $49 at my local Target as of 14/8.

Like printers they love to make their money from the consumables so entry price is low, but ongoing can be high. Think the pods run about $10-$12 for 16. They are a nice compact unit though, so I grabbed one to keep as a backup if my automatic machine dies. (Cheers to my bro for spotting the special)

Some important info as per the T&Cs:
"Cash back of Lavazza A Modo Mio Minu White Capsule Machines are only available from Target and Dick Smith" so no price matching elsewhere on these ones.

Also the cash back form hasn't been updated completely from the last promo, and after submitting will tell you that its outside the (previous) valid date range but it goes through OK. You'll receive a confirmation e-mail and Lavazza state they will notify you of your claims validity within 10 days. (This has also been confirmed here)

It has now also been confirmed that multiple claims are ok

Not currently available online but should be plenty of stock across Target stores (although is listed under Clearance on Target website so may vary).

        • There's two EB Games, the other residing in Melbourne Central.

I just read 'donuts', hence the lame attempt on a joke. :)

    • +3

Wow.. talk about the gift that keeps on giving - thanks man.. thought I'd have to use the $13.25 I make on capsules anyway.. but.. I don't! Now to go buy eneloops/sd cards from tightarse/easter or power banks!

    • Just applied. Thanks!

    • Thx a lot

  • +2

Haha! Point Cook has 4 on hold, sitting on the Lay-by counter!

  • What coffee pods are compatible for this machine?

Also, are there any hot chocolate pods out there?

  • +1

I wish I had a car so that I can drive to shops and take advantage of these fantastic bargains :(

  • I need to upload receipt for cash back. What if I buy 2 machines in single transaction and use 1 receipt for both machine's cash back form? Will they accept knowing it 2 machines bought be same credit card?

    • TCS: (a) only one (1) claim permitted per Participating Product purchased

So you can't claim for 2 of the same product

      • +3

Not sure if that’s what it means. I read it as can't claim more than once for the same purchase. However, multiple purchases of the same product should be fine as they are each participating products, so long as a separate claim is made for each. Same receipt could be used as long as its clear there are multiples on it.

Of course, that's my interpretation. To be sure best to call them and ask 1300 302 334.

        • +2

That exactly what I think it Means. I tried to call them to confirm but just couldn't get through to the right department. They said call back tomorrow. But knowing ozbargain, there will be none left tomorrow

      • If that's the case, I still have the receipts to return one

    • +1

I'd buy them in two separate transactions.

      • Good idea, maybe use different email also?

        • oh s**t, because of chrome autofill forgot to change the email. we will see what happen.

      • But what of 2 seprate transactions show same credit card?

        • only shows the last 4numbers

  • +5

Went to target in Brisbane CBD. They had it for $49. Showed them the ozbargain post and they price matched it to $36.75. Probably the manger was an ozbargainer himself to allow the price match. :P

    • There's about 6 left here. Price is indeed negotiable.

  • +2

About ~8 in Target Cannington WA $49

  • The gang bought 8 units at Target Innaloo, $36.75 each

    • Carousel would not price match! :(

      • Did you scan it? Was told there was no ticket price so they put one on a price checker and showed $36.75

  • 2 units left at Rouse Hill NSW

  • Hey, just want to point out that the official Lavazza site has these for $50 with free postage.

    • +1

Not valid for cash back though.

    • +1

Cash back is not valid from their online store

      • I am dumb. Sorry. To much skim reading

  • None left at hurstville nsw

  • +2

Was 1 left in Perth CBD after I grabbed one. $49

  • +4

Just got the last one ($49) at Airport west VIC. Cashier just said some guy came in 10mins ago and bought 6 with separate transactions!!

    • +2

      Must be broden.

      • +2

The first question I asked the girl - "Was the name on his card Broden?" She looked at me funny and said "He didnt use card, he paid in 6 separate $100 bills". I knew instantly it was him.

        • +2

Why didn't they use the $51 change to purchase the next one? They would only have needed 3 x $100 notes

        • @unity1: Clearly broden doesn't worry about the finer details, he just wanted to show off his $100 bills.

        • @rawm: Or was he just generous and gave the young lady a $51 tip for each coffee machine?

    • +1

      what a pleb.

  • +2

Just bought 1 from Rockdale Target for $36.75. There are around 6 left on the shelf.

    • None left at rockdale now.

  • Still $49 at Browns Plains, QLD. Plenty left! Just bought another one. I think that's it for me as far as risk vs return goes. Don't forget to register so you can sell it on Gumtree with 32? pods.

  • None at Warringah Mall

  • +1

caroline springs store none in stock

  • +1

  • +1

Plenty on the shelf at Target Morley in WA, checked and double checked its the right model as I got 2 for $24.50 each!

    • seriously? I just payed $49 at Carousel and they said they wouldn't match other stores :(

      • +4

Earning a dollar just doesn't cut it anymore

    • Hi Sundae, can you please post a receipt as I paid full $49 at the Target in Perth CBD. I can always go back and ask for a refund. You can wipe off other details like receipt number and all. Just the store name with Product and price would be enough for me to get my money back.

  • No stock at Camberwell and Doncaster Vic

  • about 6 left at Carousel Cannington W.A as of 6:30pm Perth time

  • Waverley Garden, VIC - sold out
Dandenong Plaza, VIC - 25 available

    • Are they $36 or $49 at Dandenong?

  • Newton SA has about a dozen that i could count but no 25% off so the full 49

  • Can Someone please explain this, taken from T&C section 9 : "Multiple claims permitted, subject to the following: (a) only one (1) claim permitted per Participating Product purchased; and (b) each claim must be submitted separately and in accordance with the Terms and Conditions."

Does it mean only one claim per model per person, or can you submit more than one claim of the same model, provided that you buy more than one product? either separated transaction( or purchase 2 in one transaction) ?

    • Can get multiple cashbacks but must be different models.

      • ok, i bought 2, so i should ask my brother to claim the second one for me. Thanks

      • Not true.
It means you can't try and submit more than 1 claim per item
The serial number ensures that your item is unique.
        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/205926?page=1#comment-2957…

        • That's the way I read it too. So it really should not matter if you bought 2 on the one receipt. You would just have to submit 2 claims using the one receipt, each claim with it's own unique serial number.

        • @unity1:

We had the exact argument with Western Digital

They said only one claim per eligible item.. Which means you can only claim once for any Minu (s) you buy
I argued and even reported them to fair trading it does not mean this.. If it meant this they should say one claim per unique eligible item.
Fair trading try to brush me off saying they are in the right. After arguing with 2 of them they finally saw my argument
However by then Western Digital backed down and paid us anyway..

So if you can use different names just in case..

    • Not the same machine :)

      • Yes your right, my bad. Must be all this hype from getting a free coffee machine :)
