Brother MFC-L2700DW $143.20, Brother Toner TN2250 $74.40 Pickup @ The Good Guys eBay

140
CTREAT20

Bought couple of these, the 20% ebay promo make it the cheapest price I ever know. The L2700DW printer's drum and toner already cost this much. The TN2250 usually cost $100+. I bet you can enjoy some saving here.

Postage is available at $9.65

NOTE: The Toner TN2250 is NOT for this printer L2700DW, don't make mistake to buy both and assume it's the right one. I repeat, DON'T buy the toner if you haven't check it with your printer!!

  • Good price indeed. I have the Aldi Fuji printer for $149 but this is the better choice after trying it out (better wireless and software/operation). Cheap generic toner works fine (from Ebay too).

  • Don't forget CashRewards/Shopandmint/pink.org.au!

  • Looks like ADF (automatic document feeder) up the top.. is it? Want something like that for scanning documents.

I've been on the look for the Brother 2740 for a while. It does single-pass duplex scanning. Cheapest I seen so far is ~$250.

      • The Brother 2740 can scan both sides of an A4 for you without you flipping it manually? Is that what you mean by single-pass duplex scanning? I didn't even know there was such thing..

All I'm after really is an ADF. Something to scan a pile of A4 documents quickly. I would even take ADF without printer just because I don't want the bulk of a printer, but it doesn't seem like they exist as standalone. If I wanted one with printer then ideally I'd want: colour laser, Wifi, duplex printing, flatbed scanner in addition to ADF.

Seems like this satisfies all except colour, but given that I understand colour will be bigger + more expensive, I think this would be a decent compromise.

Single-pass duplex = automatic does both sides in one pass
Normal duplex = automatic but takes two passes (one per side)
Manual duplex = manual turnover and collated with software

In my research, the 2740 is the cheapest product that does single-pass duplex. Do some google on it.

          you are after document scanner:
          http://brother.com.au/products/scanners/ads-2100e-detail

It's about $350 and 20000 pages life time.

but it will scan both size in one go at much faster speed and smaller file size, automatically delete the blank page, rotage page in one direction. physical size is about half when closed cover.

        • @leetec: Damn for that price I think I'd rather a printer! But thanks for sharing.

  • How many pages from the starter toner and how many from a full toner?

  • Bought this printer last month for my in-laws but I've noticed it's painfully slow to start to airprint(from Iphone/Ipad). My other wifi printer(a cheap HP inkjet) on the same network is much faster to receive the file.
