I have tried this champagne-style wine before and it is excellent for the price - beats the hell out of all other varieties at this price level.

  yes it's hard to beat this price for vintage sparking wine which is now a discontinued line

  Lemon, salt crackers, yeast and cream along with some toasty bottle age complexity, but largely fresh and dry with clean length and modest level of complexity and style. Certainly not the coarse or sugar soaked battery acid style you often encounter sub $20. Will develop and likely improve further over next handful of years too.
