    iF YOU ALREADY have an Office365 account then you don't need to do anything to get Office 2016. It will automatically update your Office 2013 to 2016 when it's ready.

      That's good! Was a bit disappointed the other day when I downloaded it from my UTAS email address and it downloaded 2013. Was hoping for 2016 :P

        Really? I live in a $1.6mil house…which is my parents house. jusf because parents have money doesn't mean they give free money to their kids, and getting free office is definitely helpful for a student

    for anyone who is not a student and doesn't want to pay for office. i can recommend LIBRE open office (I downloaded it this week as an alternative to office) i was looking for alternatives to office and came across it. it works good for my need's. just no email client but i use windows live mail as a FREE alternative to outlook. and i also don't mind using the email client that came with windows 10.

        I use one as I have multiple email accounts and logging in to each one manually is time consuming and a pain in the arse. With a client (I use both Outlook and Thunderbird) it automatically logs in and checks them all at once.

        There is 1 INSTALL NOW button on the page only. The page is https://portal.office.com/Home# . There is no url to change. Have you got a different download URL?

          Yes, press the install now button. The you browser will start downloading the file. Go to your browser downloads. Right click on the downloaded file and copy url and paste it on the address bar. Then change the X86 to X64 and hit enter.

      On the main Office 365 Portal page, above the "Install now" button click on "Change" next to the language option. Under "version" click "Advanced" and select 64 bit.
      Pretty silly of Microsoft to hide this important option under language selection.

      Sydney uni's student email account already has office365 as default. Not sure what you mean.

      that probably means you already have access to it all and you dont need to sign up, the uni has already done it for you.
      Have the same thing with university of newcastle
