I just downloaded the BitGold iOS app and was able to order a Prepaid Debt Card. This is still in Closed Beta when using a web browser. Update 13/11: Available via website now.
All you need to do is select your currency and upload proof of address

They had an issue with my first and last name being reversed after signing up (origial free gold deal)
And after 9 emails back and forth and still not rectified, I asked them to close the account to which they said they will.
Now even though I have no account, and have opted out of the email spam they sent 4 times, I still get spammed.
I wrote to them and asked to be removed because unsubscribing didn't work and I was told I chose not to have an account so it won't work… I received again yesterday more spam.
That's unfortunate, but it's an unusual problem. I think they have 350k users atm so no wonder they have growing pains - I can't say I've noticed too much spam from them myself though.
Just what is the point of Bitcoin besides being a criminals paradise?
Well it's not anything to do with bitcoin for one..
Just because you were able to order the card may not mean you get it.. I think some people who applied late in the beta are still waiting for theirs.
I understand they are rebranding all the cards as goldmoney for the relaunch. The card itself does look fairly interesting though.

Ok, I just presumed because of the 'Bit' it was something to do with Bitcoin (so seems it's a bit like using 'i' now - as in ixxxxx). Anyone stung by the Cryptographer virus and facing with paying $650/1250 via Bitcoin will understand why I don't like Bitcoin (though there are other ways around that virus).
But what's the deal here??
