Mini 0806 VS Navman MiVue 560

Hi everyone, after being run off the road by an idiot this week, I've decided to get a dash cam.
I saw the MiVue at jbhifi, but the price was a bit out there.
I've read good reviews of the mini 0806 and am wondering how it compares with the MiVue cams.
I need something that has reasonable battery life, easy to use, clear recording at night, etc. Also, GPS tracking is a must.

I can't find the Mini 0806 via staticice.com.au so does that mean it's only for sale overseas? What would be the best place and price to get the mini 0806 or the MiVue?

Thanks in advance :)

The 806 is meant to be a great dashcam, gets recommended highly but from what I read on the dashcam thread on whirlpool there have been some reliability issues, don't know if the later builds have addressed the issue. I have had the Navman 358 for 2 years now and it hasn't skipped a beat.

When it comes time to replace mine I might go for the GW1-C which could be bought for $60 and has great PQ, just have to be careful and buy from a reputable overseas seller.

This forum has some great reviews of dashcams https://dashcamtalk.com/forum/

  • The GW1-C is that any good at night?

  • Just read up on the 0807. An estimated price would be nice. But they won't be released till next month.

0806 - Good quality video when it works. My first one arrived DOA, second one doesnt charge from car socket.

  • Well, after what happened to a friend's son on Monday, I can't afford to wait around. I need to get a cam asap.

I got a mini0806 installed recently, also owns a G90-7S, happy with both,
been using G90-7S for quite a while, seem to be doing the job pretty well,
not so happy with the night view though, but yet I haven't do much adjustment…
yet to find out the mini0806 as I am too lazy to check the recorded videos..(checked once & was happy) :-)

reasonable battery life? these dashcam battery doesn't last long!

I also have one of the GW1-C mention above does not keep date/time when car is turned off,
have to set it up over & over again… :-(
