      There are value for money options.

      In March I stayed here http://www.theamazingnoovilu.com/ and had an amazing time (pun intended).
      It cost $150USD (inc taxes) per night for my Wife & I and included all meals & drinks (alcohol prohibited).

          :( A few years ago, there where whole islands going for $2000USD a night. Now the small 6 villa islands all closed and reopen as 100 villa super islands.

          Taxes also killer. Need to keep in mind 2 taxes, will end up being quoted price + more than 20%

      However, the time between May and November is also a best time to visit Maldives as the skies remains cloudy, humidity remains high and there are more chances of rainfall.

      Yeah, I like my humid, cloudy, and rainy days whilst lying on the beach… /s

      Thats in Male though. And the airport is on an island off the coast of Male. Transfers to the different Islands happen at the airport so it wouldnt make a difference what happened in Male.

          @Snoopy113: so you don't think what happens in Male can spread to the airport, whereever is is (Male)? Just be safe and plan your travel well.

          @BestofOZB: Of course theres a slim chance of anything. But the important thing to note is that you do not have to even look at mainland Male when you are holidaying in the Maldives. You basically fly into an airport that is on its own island, grab your bags, then go to an area with hundreds of island transfer desks then get a boat or sea plane to your island.

    this deal is not good, i got a trip to japan free of charge on sunday. just had to pay accomodation at hotel of choice. i think airasia still has sale….

    its actually most flights were free of charge if u book at min 5 days of hotel at any city with airasia. must be member and buy through airasiago.
