Everyone, I'm seeing a lot of comments here about people walking into stores and seeing nothing on sale. You may actually be missing out if you leave. I've just been to Broadmeadows (10:45am) and nothing is tagged. I asked the sales rep, and he took me through the specials.

        • Nice deal was there this morning.

        • Any other tvs (40" ?) left at Bourke St?

      • Hey,
I just sent you a private message. Hope you can help me out haha

      • 1 store please?
    • +1

      No pix, no pruff!1!1 ;)

    • that model doesnt exist…you lie!

      • +5

        No I'm just dyslexic pic

      • What store for the 65" UHD?

    • Extremely unlikely that this happened. Not buying it.

Edit: saw receipt. Not sure what to make of it. Some stores maybe incorrectly thought ALL floor stock tv was 70% off? Only explanation I can think off.

      • Either way worth a shot if you have a store close to home!

        • which store?

        • Melbourne CBD Bourke St. There was only 1 available.

        • For sure, but they would probably have realized their mistake by now. You were probably in right at opening when promotion details were unclear. Either way, like most of us, I can't attend since I've got work :(

      • +2

It was display, could of been on for 10 000 hours by now, I personally wouldn't buy it, C0123 did the right thing by extending the warranty for only $60. (given the RRP of the TV).

But thats only worth it if Dick Smith exists for another 3 years

        • No, the extended warranties are handled by a different company. He's got nothing to worry about.

        • @LlamaLlamaLamp: was unaware of this, as long as they arnt a sister company to DSE good work!

    • Such a lucky guy in white shirt :p, congrats mate :)
      Delivery is free?
Managed to get 55" 4K LG for $599, I chose pick up as I thought delivery will cost me $89 lol

  • +2

like seriously… they tell shareholders that they are holding a large amount of old inventory they need to clear but in-store there is nothing?!

    • It's out the back of the store. No, seriously. You have to request it.

      • +1

It's out the back of the store.

Precisely, right next to where their shares are.

  • No deals on Samsung Tabs either. Tab s2, 32gb, wifi is for $599, 10% online discount makes it $549. Good Guys has it for $539 considering 20% off when it comes on ebay will be $440

    • Thanks.
Any cheaper tablets available around $200?

    • Specifically says in T&Cs than S2 isn't discounted. Hoping some older tabs may be though.

  • +11

Hah walked in, saw a bunch of people standing around awkwardly looking at their phones. (myself included)

    • +2

We need a section of the ozbargin post that just list products and sale prices!

  • No deals on Samsung Tabs either. Tab s2, 32gb, wifi is for $599, 10% online discount makes it $549. Good Guys has it for $539 considering 20% off when it comes on ebay will be $440

  • same as you at bourke st giteau. One guy told me he had bought one of the 3200's and then the 5500. Said he is selling the 3200. I said good luck… Need to ask staff to check prices.

  • +2

      • this was in craigieburn. panasonic all gone except for higher end model for $119
no prices were displayed yet but there was a stack of orange papers on the counter with the new prices. i quickly browsed and saw the bargains.

display tvs were %70 off. one guy walked off with 60 inch hitachi $70
uhd lg 40 inch went for $240. display stock.

        few cameras left

multifunction printers are in clearance as well.

    • Model number please ?

      • DMRPWT550GL

        • That's pretty good.. Other shops are selling the player for $400+ !! TV deal was pretty good as well !! Any other TV's left ?

    • Any chance of a receipt please?!

  • Anyone seen any deals on Logitech Harmony Universal Remotes?

    • $100

      • Is that the Harmony Ultimate(Comes with the hub) or the Harmony Ultimate One(Doesn't come with the hub)?

        • Ultimate (the top of the line one for $489, with the hub) for $100. Setting it up now :)

And the harmony touch was also only $30.

    dicksmith norwood - 1 x iphone 5s - 64gb - 499 soldout

    still had 2 x iphone 6 128gb for $999

  • interesting that according to this document someone posted earlier, on the 2nd last page when you scroll down, the price of some tv's has actually increased by a few hundred dollers

  • +1

nothing at DSE marketown in newcastle. was 1st one in. a lot of empty boxes on display and when asked was told not instock. asked the guy why they kept all the empty boxes for…. no reply

    • Anything from previous day (eg. games?)

      • couple of games left. they did have a sony ax twin lens kit for $297 but i didnt have any signal to work out if it was a good camera compared with the canon. (no canon's)

    • Gold!

  • +1

Seems to be nothing special at George St store and Westfield Sydney.

  • +2

This sale should be re titled too> Staff buys everything worthwhile and resells it on ebay at twice the price Dicksmith sale :)

Nothing at most City stores. but i guess their the ones not losing money and having stock issues in the first place!

the staff will be out of a job soon though so they deserve to make a little more $ while they still can.

  • Any good deal on smartphones?? Samsung or Lumia??

  • For anyone who is interested to run around looking,
    Nunawading had iPhone 6 128gb for $999.

Did not buy any of the two that were available, but some other guy bought one. One MAY be still available or they may be available at other stores for that price

    • Any 6S Plus?

      • +1

No not for that price. 6s were not on sale

  • +4

Nothing interesting at garden city my gravatt

    • Cheers for the heads up.

Where about's in Garbo is the store?

  • Just went to the Elizabeth store. There were quite a few copies of Various PC/console games, but mostly FPS so I didn't bother. I didn't see any signs for amazing clearance deals on anything else, apart from some Canon EOS M camera.

    • eos M $699

  • +1

    Note 4 for 549 dollaroos!!

    • I paid $509.40 with 10% bonus credit gift cards purchased from Coles. Effectively, $463.10.

  • Anyone knows if any TVs on clearance? Looking for cheap 55" FHD TV, any brand will do as long as it is cheap. $400-$500.

  • Nothing good at eastgardens, small stand out the front with clearance items. Staff advised they not sure what's on sale and my best bet is to look at the website.

  • Nothing even remotely noteworthy at Fairfield NSW. 99% of stock is still at full price.

    • Maybe you have to ask?

      • Some things haven't been marked down yet. They still have old stickers that expired from yesterday. Some top field pvrs are cheap but I'm not going to bring up all the stock from the shelves to the counter to check their price unless I'm really interested.

        • Anything good?

        • @congngo:

Probably going to get myslef an altech pvr9600 for $90. Last I saw they were $164 on ozbargain at dse

  • Any ideas on how I'd ship a TV to Melbourne from Perth? I'm currently here on holidays… Thanks in advance team :)

    • Best way is to take it on the plane . In original packaging of course. Oversize but not overweight? What is Qantas policy these days? If you have lots of other junk, and cannot increase luggage allowance, send that home with courier.

  • Just saw the managers list but wasn't able to take a pic of it. It is massive- like a friggin novel.

The one thing I saw is iPhone 5s is $399

  • ——-No Deal———Melbourne Bourke St——-

    Samsung Galaxy S5 - $ 659
    Samsung Galaxy S4 - $ 599

    • +3

for whoever interested, Do not buy S4, lots bugs and overheat and wifi issue. Battery life short

  • I looked at a bunch of random stickers on the table but they didn't have stock. Apparently avatar 3d is 5 cents. And a Panasonic 3d player is bdt220 for about 8 dollars

  • Anyone got any good deals from chadstone?

  • Bourke st has a bunch empty laptop boxes (assume stock is in the back) on clearance, but did not check the prices online to see if they were any good

  • Saw two Ozbargainers at Broadmeadow DS (hello guys!)
Unfortunately it either has been Ozb'ed yesterday or just don't have a lot of stock to begin with.
There was a lady pestering a staff at 9AM for a PS4 haha

    • I was there this morning. Might've met. Was in an adidas hoodie :)

      • I saw an Asian dude and another tall guy!
We missed out on that iPad mini deal, was here when I heard "potentially another ozbargainer" asking about it.
I went to airport west dse a few hours later to look for iPad mini and the guy said some guy came from broady and said he bought the last one!
        Kicking myself real hard now

    • +7

      "in an adidas hoodie"
Banana, check your phone, watch and wallet

  • +1

another fail dick effort… actually they are getting more worse perceptions from us by doing this doggy promo stuffs.

probably wont see this brand around next year, if the december sales is not increasing 100x fold.

  • Digital cameras from $29 (sony etc).. not bad for stockings

    • +9

      stockings or stalkings?

      • +1

        oops :/ autocorrect

    • +1

      ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

  • Anyone been to any brissy stores?

    • AMBAP (as many bargains as possible) this morning Jake?

    • someone bought all the clearence macs at brisbane david jones.

  • LG 60LB5820 $680
    JVC 40" $150

    • Store? Tempted to get the jvc40

      • David Jones @ Glen Waverley.

        • Were these new in box still?

        • [@Mysterious](/comment/3252916/

Also saw one at Airport West DS this morning, but was out of box, and the other guy just picked it before i even ask.

  • +1

Hate those mid-week sales as we can't take leave or sicky to go for shopping.

    • I know, but on the hindsight i think its kinda fair cuz those who dont work would probly need these "gifts" more than working people do

      • But still those working ppl need to find way to save money that is called OzBargain way. If you are not working then you don't have money right !

  • Also DJ's melb bourke all out. Guy refused to check prices on system to see if any of the remaining SLR's were on special. Knowing my luck that will change.

  • +7

How DS deals reach over 100 votes is beyond me, the sales are never real, and never have commercial quantities of stock if the sale is real. Like what's one Display TV unit going to do for the OB community. There is no bargain for the collective, it's a random "competition" for cheapies.

    • +4

It's a CLEARANCE SALE get over it!!

      • +2

If they had stock to clear I would be over it.

But even this clearance sale has nothing to clear, they have phone cables in store, they advertise phone cables from $1, there are no phone cables from $1. Not even the used ones. It is therefore lies.

        • My local had over 100 cables, screen protectors cases etc for $1

  • Top Ryde store doesn't seem to have as much of their products on sale as Macquarie (Sydney). A lot of the one dollar deals in Macquarie aren't available.
There is a section however at the back if you go far enough where they have placed a box of games on clearance.

My opinion don't bother with top Ryde and go straight to Macquarie if you want to go.

    • Anything good at Macquarie? Did you check the David Jones as well?

      • Yeah checked David Jones - doesn't have the same deals. I don't think they know about it? asked the lady there and she said she wasn't working for Dicksmith and the guy thats suppose to isn't there yet

At Macquarie its mostly buy 2 get 50% and buy 3 get 60% kind of deals. there aren't anything that are eye catching.
