If you use this offer in a manner that is not satisfactory to us or in line with the intent of the offer (such as sharing your referral code on the ‘OzBargain’ website or other similar websites), we may refuse to pay the $75 cash bonus (including in respect of any or all referrals made in relation to the offer). This includes conduct on your part which is designed to undermine the fair and intended operation of the offer.

Referrers may not receive $75 from other users clicking on any referral links from OzBargain. Those who have used the OPs referral code/link (referees) from 7/1/16-present, will not receive the $75 according to this comment by the OP.

The bonus amounts for these sorts of offers usually aren't paid instantly. From the Ts & Cs - "For eligible applicants, the $75 will be deposited into the applicant’s Orange Everyday the month after the friend meets all applicable Eligibility Criteria", so if the account was opened and the eligibility criteria met in January, the $75 bonus would be paid in February (and I assume this applies to the friend's account as well).

  I opened the account and met the criteria in December so I expect I should see the $75 by end January. I was hoping that it was 4 weeks from the the day I met the criteria but that didn't happen. Will see and post here if or when I get it.

    I called ING a few weeks back and they stated that it can take up to 6 weeks to receive the bonus amount credited to one's account and to check back if it's not received by the end of January (I signed up soon after seeing this post and met the criteria on the 18th December).
    
    I messaged ING yesterday to enquire about the bonus (as it still hasn't been added to my account) and they responded that they had no record of me registering for this promotion and wanted to know where I saw the promo.
    
    I do like ING and have used it as my main account since opening it, so I do hope they'll honour this promotion.

Oops.

This is why a lot of posters were asking for ALL referrals to be randomised and not let OP have his referral stand out.

Obviously ING cottoned on (probably due to sheer amount of referrals by OP) and now entire ozbargain referrers could be missing out.

Pretty silly to let one referral code stand out. If everyone had a fair go we might all have got a referral or two each and ING would have been none the wiser.

Lesson learned I hope ozbargain.

    I still am against your opinion - but the reason provided by scar4ace differs to the reason you provided.
    
    Scar4ace is simply saying as a result of OP's code being used so often, his code now stands out and resulted in ING being alerted to this deal being posted on Ozbargain. Your reasoning was purely to do with fairness. It's not the same.
    
    Though, I think that this deal may have been identified by a random ING employee regardless (irrespective of OP's referral code). Ozbargain is not exactly an unknown website in Australia anymore.. (i.e. I'm not agreeing with scar4ace either)

So what happened? What ended up happening?

I got scared off by the whole warning thing from ING and removed my referral code immediately from the system, as my understanding was that ING Direct would now know where the link for the referrals came from (i.e. they would know it came from Ozbargain). Also, given that there is no way to actually see the referral code (as it is coded into the system) and that the wiki is no longer used, I was sure ING would easily identify Ozbargain codes.

Did everyone just keep their code in? Did you guys get the referral credit from any Ozbargain clicks?

I did not realise ING Direct would have a problem with Ozbargain now.It must be due to OP generating numerous referrals.Of course,not OP's fault.

Keep it random only is good to avoid one getting too many in these situations so as not to flag in their systems.

According to the ING lady on the phone, if the refer link works then the deal is still valid (i.e. 6000 people haven't successfully signed up yet).

I don't know what happens when you sign-up after 5999 confirmed sign-ups and you and 50 others haven't deposited yet? If they won't allow more than 6000 then they should at least state if you may fail by the pending sign-up competition. Otherwise most people would wait for the next deal/referral opportunity.
