Should I Return My Xbox One Boxing Day and Try for a Better Deal?

I recently purchased a 1TB Console from EB games for $510 (including postage from EB. It includes.

XBox one - 1TB console
Halo 5
Fallout 4
Rare Replay
Ori - Download token
Gears of war remastered
Skylanders starter pack
Cod - Advanced warefare

Bit of a long story but if any one remembers trying to purchase these deals the servers where at capacity and running horribly. I was originally trying to purchase IMO, a much Better bundle, but after being kicked out of checkout about 5 times, I mistakenly purchased this one instead (after they changed the bundle on the website without me noticing)

I have put the original Bundle at the bottom of the post, but I was wanting some peoples opinions.

Should I take it back to EB - Get a refund, and then go next door to JB and see if they have any cheaper/better bundles? The only requirement is it would have to be local pick up, as its the holiday season and I want to play it. ( I live in Canberra )and I was hoping a better or similiar but cheaper bundle would be available in the boxing day sales.

Has anyone have any experience with consoles just after xmas?

The whole experience with EB has left me with a bad taste in my mouth as I called them straight away of noticing the error and even though it didn't ship from there warehouse for 3 days , they wouldn't give me a full refund, and there customer support was not very good.

Cheers and here is the original Bundle.

XBox one - 1TB console
Halo 5
Fallout 4
Rare Replay
Ori - Download token
Gears of war remastered
Fifa 16
Tomb Raider (Download)
Rise of the Tomb Raider

  • Sure if it's not a hassle. The bundle you wanted at first was much better.

    • But what are the chances of getting a good or better deal boxing day? Do xboxs sell cheap boxing day?

If I have to wait even like 2 days Ill be opening that thing and playing it lol

      • I think a lot of good deals happened during click frenzy but there's still a good chance of very good deals, especially considering the 10% off big-w gift cards atm, who seem to have top deals frequently, alongside target.

  • Sounds like a plan but make sure you look for deal first, get it then refund the original.

  • If you have codes they might be funny about taking them back. might argue that they could have been used and refuse to refund though.

    • I didnt think of that.

      Will see how I go

      • From my experience, you enter the code on the XBOX and it will ask you if you want to redeem it.

        From- https://www.cheapassgamer.com/topic/267987-any-way-to-check-…

If you input the code on Xbox.com it goes in automatically but if you enter the code on your XBox is will prompt you to make sure if you want to use it.

        • I know that, but with the laziness of staff these days do you expect them to go through each and every code and do a check?

        • @ruddiger8:

I'd expect them to check if they were using it as a reason not to give me my refund?

And each and every code probably isn't a lot for each store on a day to day basis.

  • If you couldn't get a refund straight away, why would they refund it after you have been using it?

    • I havnt used it, they said I could return it to the store after it had been delivered. Which is silly as I called about 30 mins after the order was placed and it didnt ship for 3 days.
