Lowest price on Amazon so far. The cheaper alternative to the Sandisk Extreme Pro, this UHS-I U3 Flash card claims to have speeds of 90MB/s read and 80MB/s write. Favourable reviews on speed where one states "Speed tests based off Camera Memory Speed tests (Sandisk Write Speed: 68.8mb/s VS. Kingston Write Speed: 67.1mb/s)". I can only guess he is referring to the Sandisk Extreme Pro.

This SD card comparison site interested me as it ranked this card third in write speed on the Nikon D5500 coming just behind the SanDisk Extreme Pro which can be found $6 more at MSY. Whether that is worth it or not it's up to you but it's no secret that Amazon customer service is excellent. But I wonder how the lifetime guarantee would be honoured on this being in Australia.

In any case, fire your comments below and give us your opinion on this card and price.

  • this class rating is confusing, i though it will be atleast class 10? never seen a fast card with speed 3?

      Here you go.

This isn't "class 3", this is "UHS speed class 3". Basically the simple "class" number refers to the minimum read/write speeds in MB/s. The newer "UHS speed class" number is the minimum read/write speed in tens of MB/s. This card therefore has minimum 30MB/s read and write speeds, which are better than "class 10" would be.

      • thanks that makes a bit more sense
