  • +2

    Walk-in only today! Sounds good!

  • How much is men's haircut normally? Might give customers some idea how much to donate.

    • +1

it's listed on the website they linked to in the post …between 25-35.

  • +2

    Men's cut is usually $25

  • Wish this had of been last week before I tried tommy gunns (no cold beer, no shampoo/cond, no head massage) never again!

Might give you guys a try next time around.
    +vote for your deal

    • tommy guns is at least better than jimmy rods …they've gone so far down hill

      • +1

The Men's Lounge at Paddo Central is great. No shampoo or head massage but great blokes and good banter, even better cuts.

        • I never need the shampoo or head massage, but if they offer it as included in the price then it better be done or at least ask me.

How much for a cut at men's lounge?

        • +1

@tightwod: $29 for a men's cut - beer included if you so please.

    • +1

I went to tommy guns on the weekend, was also pretty disappointed. Wasn't even offered a beer/drink. No neck shave/shampoo/head massage.

      I'll try these guys next.

Thanks OP, I hope this will not get abused (ozbargained) and people will actually donate something.

  • +2

Damn, if you had a sydney location i would be on this!

  • +3

What would be considered reasonable for a donation?

    • -1

      $25

      • Why is this being negged? How is the standard price unreasonable for a donation?

        • -3

Didn't neg, but I'm guessing because the barber is getting cheap publicity, there needs to be something in it for the customer too. $5 would perhaps be more reasonable

    Great gesture. Well done TGC.

I would advise against visiting this barber. While he's certainly a nice guy and the vibe here is nice I got the worst haircut of my life here a few weeks ago.

    • +2

      Q. What's the difference between a good haircut and a bad haircut?
      A. 2 weeks

      • +1

Just throwing out a general warning. Take it or leave it.

        • +3

Do you have a pic of your head you can post?

  • +2

I don't have a pic from when i got the haircut and it's now almost a month afterwards so it's hard to judge a haircut so far in the future. It could just be my particular hair but I got a better cut from Jimmy Rods and a much better cut from Esquire at Milton. I love a bargain as much as the next person but unless you really don't care about your hair it's not worth it at TGC.

    • +2

I'm sure if i had the worst haircut of my life somebody would have taken a picture if i'd wanted them to or not

      • -1

Are you associated with TGC Barbershop @Bellyup?

  • +1

No, i'm just pulling your chain.

  • If this was in Victoria, it'd be more than just a haircut; actually, the haircut would be optional.

    • What do you mean? Happy endings?
