A few great games I've enjoyed in the past are on sale at Google Play.

SHADOWGUN for $2.79

SHADOWGUN puts you into the role of John Slade, the galaxy’s most infamous bounty hunter. Your mission: hunt down Dr. Edgar Simon, maniacal genius and leader of his own mutant army. Infiltrate Dr. Simon’s mountain fortress and fight his personal guard of cyborgs, battle droids, and genetically-enhanced humanoids. Using state-of-the-art weaponry, ships, and the assistance of S.A.R.A.—Slade’s personal android assistant—SHADOWGUN combines intense tactical combat with 3rd person action.

Samurai II: Vengeance for $2.79

Samurai II sends Daisuke on a quest for revenge across the war-scorched countryside. From a seafaring village to a flying fortress to the legendary Isle of the Dead, the samurai will stop at nothing to hunt down his arch-enemy Orochi. Will he get his Vengeance?

  • Thanks! Got draw a stickman

Shadowgun and Samurai II are super old games that dont get updated outside of bug fixes or making it work on the next Android version. Not sure why they still hold a high premium given most people have already got it (in cheaper 10c-99 sales) or finished it already on other plaforms. Just my thought..

    • Well there's not really any actually good "hardcore" games being made on Android anymore(possibly mobile platform in general?).

Games like this are from when a few developers tried to break into a new, console-esque type of mobile gaming. Unfortunately the general populous rejected such a concept in favour of more pay to play not even as complex as some flash games, games.

Which is a right shame since gems like this pretty much don't happen anymore. The best we get is the odd port of an older gen game rather than original content built for touch screens. I didn't think or play much of Samurai Vengeance 2, but Shadow gun was a pretty slick game. I played and finished that bad boy and found it highly enjoyable. It was challenging with pretty outstanding graphics with fluid controls and fun gameplay - not bad for a shameless rip-off of Gears of War.

The fact they update it enough to keep it compatible with newer devices is enough for me. It looks absolutely amazing now on my S6, far better than back in the day on my S2. Most of the gameloft games from that era never saw it past dual core phones for compatible devices.

      tl;dr:
No one makes games as worth while as this on mobiles anymore, so it's really not a ridiculous asking price.

  • How much are they normally?

  • Pretty games.
