        • @JB1:

Yup, rang them and they said no and said will refuse refund if I returned it? Even though from their Ebay FAQs it states you can return within 30 days as long as its still boxed or in sellable condition. We have only unboxed it and have not even plugged it in. Quite annoying they don't price match themselves?!?!? Surely this doesn't sound right to me, it's irrelevant why someone is returning something as long as it's within the conditions of the return policy??

I recently ordered a fridge from Harvey Norman and a few days later saw it had gone down by $400 from a diff competitor. I rang up my sales consultant and he rang them n it was a pricing error (they fixed it before the consultant rang me back) but he still honoured the sale price. I was a bit apprehensive ordering from them as read terrible things but in my own personal experience, they have been MUCH better to deal with than Good Guys. I would have also ordered the washing machine from them had the carried the same model!

          @KupoHo:

          Unboxed is opened.

I'd be unhappy if I purchased a new washing machine that was opened by someone else even if it was not plugged in, I'm sure you would be too.

Different refund/price beat rules apply to TGG stores/online and TGG Ebay purchases. Unfair but that's life, don't get me wrong, I'd be annoyed too but sometimes you gotta let it go, you still got it for 20% less so a decent deal.

"I would have also ordered the washing machine from them had the carried the same model!" I'm not so sure about that, most likely you (and everyone on OZB) would have purchased it from the place that is offering it to you at the lowest price (well a few dollars less than your preferred store). I'm certain HN had a similar or better washing machine, but the machine at TGG at 20% off was too good a deal to walk away from.

          @KupoHo:

You could buy a new one at the discounted price, pick it up and then return it unopened another day at the higher price.

        • @JB1:

Yeah I meant if they had the same washing machine at the same price LOL But I know the sales guy would have matched price had they stocked that model :)

I think the 20% off sale has been great, as we've purchased heaps of stuff! But as for the washing machine…it is being sold around the $988 mark at some places and that is probably why they lowered the price to that. Just hate missing out on bargains!

I always wonder what they do with unboxed stuff that customer's return? Surely they can't resell it as "new"?

They wouldn't accept returns in the first place?

If they did, it would probably be used as a display model, or marked down since no one is going to pay full price for something that has been opened.

Buy another fridge now, and return the new fridge using your old reeipt?

  • Can i claim GST from TRS if i buy item from kogan?

    • If imported as most things are with Kogan, there'll be no GST applied and no tax invoice so no you won't be able to claim anything.

Usually you are actually buying from Kogan HK or somewhere outside Australia. So on big items you need to be careful since you could be liable for GST as you're effectively importing them yourself.

  • Thanks, was looking at the iwatch sport

  • A friend's looking for a BluRay player, very casual use…

If refurbished is not your cup of tea, cheapest on eBay (ie: retail seller) is $55.40 final price, pickup Far from my idea of quality/features… But it really gives perspective.

  • Got Nikon d5200 for $360 and a Samsung galaxy Note 4 for $560!!

  • I'm looking to buy a washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, and clothes dryer for an investment property from Good Guys off eBay.

Does anyone know how the white goods are delivered? Do they call you ahead of time to organise delivery or does a truck just rock up at a random day/time?

Also, does anyone know if the items get delivered from the local Good Guys store, or do they ship from a warehouse for the online channel?

  • Anyone have any issues using this Code last night. I tried to buy some stuff at around 10pm.

The payment stopped at processing. I twice got "Sorry, we were not able to process your PayPal payment", email half an hour after trying.

I have never had an issue with PayPal payments before.

    • Just got a reply from ebay. They are aware of issues last night.

They have told me they will honor purchase made today, but you need to pay for item in full and send them the item number they will process the refund of 20% in upto 21 businessdays.

      • This is my experience too.

      • Pfft. They still haven't refunded my 20% of $1095 for the kdL55W800C I bought on the 7th. Technically within the 20 business days but geez not good for customer relations - salt in the wounds given they stuffed up. Don't seem to care about customer's money as long as they keep earning interest with our cash. Fkrs

        • I got mine last week.

        • Ebay still have not refunded the 20% that they over charged me and it's outside the 21 business days stated in their T&Cs. Why I should wait any time without compensation is beyond my comprehension.

Anyone know the best way to approach the ACCC on this matter? Thanks

    • I got this about 10pm last night. Tried again and got the "still processing …" message a second time but didn't get the email and it actually went through. I was getting a bit worried that I would miss out on my bargain. I guess there were a lot of people like us getting in at the last minute.

  • You might want to update your sold out status! Most of what you have marked as available are now all out of stock!

Anyone know how often these 20%off deals come along? As really could be done with using that on a purchase.
Any chance within next three week lol.
