  • Looking for a 8-port PoE network switch for security cameras. Anyone seen any for cheap?

  • Sorry might be a dumb question but does Bing Lee ever post to Perth or do they do Pick Up only??

  • Sorry, still not working..

  • Could someone add a link that searches all of the participating stores please?

  • +5

    I'm still getting this error:

"X-TECH: Please enter the correct redemption code. Codes are not case sensitive"

    • same here

  • +6

    LOL @ Bing Lee ATM:

Sorry, we are facing issues with the store. Please try again later.

Code for "We're busy upping the prices storewide so you don't get a bargain" perhaps??? :P

    • +2

Meanwhile, Kogan has already done that 3 months in advance! Work efficiency people.

    • Same for Optus store at the moment

  • +1

Hang'in out for a non-Kogan LG G4 but don't wanna get my hopes up.

    • Why a non Kogan?

Yeah, the 'normal' price that Kogan lists these is expensive. But with the code the leather ones are down to $441 which is pretty good.

That said, if one of the other participating stores has a G4, and this code ever works properly, I'd be happy :-)

      • Just not into grey imports. Don't want to waste my time resolving warranty issues.

  • +1

    what a joke

  • Suspended again? What's going on?!

    • It was always suspended sorry, someone incorrectly unexpired all the deals and we are just reverting them all.

      • +1

Whoever updated the deal to say the code is active at TGG's store needs to remove it. I just tried it.

Yes it apply's it at the screen shown in the link (checkout review), however when you click to confirm at the next screen it will advise the code is incorrect

        • Thanks, yes we are aware that there is still an error at PayPal checkout for most stores. Moderators aren't unexpiring these deals - we have reverted this deal to expired/suspended once again thanks.

      • Thanks!

  • LOL suspended. Nice stunt from eBay

  • Getting "X-TECH: Please enter the correct redemption code. Codes are not case sensitive." when trying to checkout a Dyson from Goodguys.

  • +4

Is C20TECH code the same as last year? that might be problem. eBay needs to contact TA for better codes ;)

  • worked for me 3 mins ago buying iPhone 6 from Kogan

    • +1

      Are you sure ?

      • +1

        Yes,

        Email confirmation says:

PAID : AU $729.60 with PayPal

Free postage. AU $182.39 voucher applied.

    • Just tried it too….it doesn't work.

It apply's the discount at the checkout confirmation, however once you click to confirm the payment it won't work and will advise the code is not correct.

      • +1

maybe its only working for the pure-hearts… Karma my friend.. Karma… lol!!

  • +3

I wonder how many people think the code is working, and don't realise that PayPal reverts the price back to full price, and are paying the non-discounted price by accident…

    • I can see 5 dyson V6 sold after code suspended……

    • Noticed some people bought the Optus Galaxy S4 within the past half hour. Pretty sure the code wasn't working.

  • Those who bought stuff after 10am should check your order confirmation email and/or your ebay order details page. I thought my transaction went through fine, but the discount didn't apply when I got my order confirmation email. On the phone with ebay trying to sort this out now.

    • How did it go?
I can't seem to find ebay's number on the website!

      • Getting a credit in 10 to 15 working days.

You need to be signed into your ebay account. Then click on the contact us link.

  • +1

I can only assume that this is suspended so TGG can raise their prices

    • +1

yep the rest have or taken their products off.

      • +1

i was wondering why some stores have practically NO items listed…..do they always do this when Ebay has these sales?!?

        • +1

only thing i can think of is that this time around the shops didnt have enough time to adjust their listings before the sale… so they all kicked up a fuss i assume this morning … just a guess.

    • You mean "all of the participating stores"? :)

    • +3

This is getting so shady. I'd love to know how TGG and eBay split the discount. eBay can't be wearing it all. It's why the prices always jump on competitively priced items.

  • C20TECH code worked for me.. I ordered a Laptop Toshiba L50-C052 from Binglee and the price came down from $699 to $559.20

    • +1

Worked for me when I ordered the item @ ~10:16am.

The paypal order confirmation email/receipt also showing the discount.

Logged into my Paypal account and amount deducted is also after the discount…

But all this talk is really making me nervous!

  • +1

Not sure if it worked or not; I put in the code and bought the SSD price down to $115.2, but got charged full price.

    • -6

well if you put the code in and it brought the price down BUT you were charged the FULL PRICE, how can you still be unsure if it worked or not?

read what you just wrote you answer it yourself if it worked.

I'll give you a hint: if you paid FULL PRICE, no it did not work

      • +1

I thought I was meant to be charged full price from paypal and ebay pays the discount difference, the remaining comes out of my bank account. Since the money hasnt been deducted yet, I have no clue whether the code worked or not.

not to sound rude or anything.

  • Do purchases from eBay from an Australian store still have GST?

    • Yup, all of the stores here are big enough they -should- be paying GST on all sales.

    • Yes. They do, because you're buying from the store, not from eBay. The store should issue you with a tax invoice (for the full amount too, before discount, since hte discount comes off from Paypal.)

    • I don't think Kogan do

  • Worked in the eBay checkout window on Good Guys. I got to PayPal payment window only for the price to change to full price and a message saying: X-TECH: Please enter the correct redemption code. Codes are not case sensitive.

    • I have a feeling that the code eBay wants to use is X-TECH instead of C20TECH? And thus the suspension….

  • +2

The code is working at this moment. Confirmed as I just purchased something successfully via Paypal.

    • +4

Are you sure? Check your email receipt.

      What store was it from?

      • +1

The Good Guys. Receipt is confirmed as $-579 AUD off. No code error at all.

  • This is an example of why eBay and Paypal shouldn't be separated. :D

  • +2

as soon as the 'sale' was announced all the stores removed most of their products and/or jacked the prices up

  • can anyone confirm if Kogan provide an 'Australian' tax invoice ie with their ABN etc?

    • When you buy from Kogan where the item location says Hong Kong you are buying from Kogan Hong Kong, not Kogan Australia. Which means no Australian Invoice and no GST paid.

    • ANB maybe but definitely no TAX invoice as they sell parallel imports

    • thanks for that

  • Although the code C20tech is "applied" in your cart, at the final payment page (Paypal) they reassess and if there is an item that is not categorised as "tech" it takes away the discount.
!! People who posted 'success' for the discount code could you please include what item you bought???? !!

    • how is a mobile phone not a tech item? Doesn't sound right.

    • I bought an iPhone 6 from Kogan and have an email confirmation of the price after discount.

      • Sounds like eBay made a mistake earlier where the code works on ALL items on eBay instead of from selected store as listed, that's why they have suspended the code and is making the adjustment.

        Just my thought anyway.

  • I got the kogan meat slicer with C20TECH. Ebay price was 10$ less than Kogan store price even before discount.

    • +1

      Paypal email:

      Shipping and handling $0.00 AUD
      Insurance - not offered ——
      Other discounts -$13.00 AUD
      Total $52.00 AUD
      Payment $52.00 AUD

  • Kogan Galaxy Note 4 32GB LTE working fine with discount

  • +3

I just got a call from the closest good guys store and they only had the display model available (even though they still say they have stock even now). They tried to get me to take the display model and I had to argue with them to get my order sent from a different store with stock.

They complained that the postage costs might be more expensive if they sent it from another store. In the end they finally said that they will reallocate the stock from a different store.

    • and these assholes that own these businesses complain that everyone is going online and they aren't making record profits anymore yet don't understand why

when you have to basically hassle the sales staff to sell you something you want to pay for it gets a bit beyond a joke…

  • Added a Motorola XT1550 Moto G 3rd Gen to the cart and after adding the C20TECH code the price dropped to $276.80. Is it safe to assume that when purchasing through paypal the price will remain at $276.80 or are there still issues?

  • has anyone seen a Galaxy s6 in 64GB?
neither kogan, TGG or optus has any listed.
bing lee is too expensive ($999)

    • -1

mate i bought mine S6 64gb from good guys 6 months ago brand new for $930, you need to bargain a bit more

      • I don't get what you mean. I'm trying to find a bargain?! as anything >900 for a S6 is over priced currently

        • 6 months ago wasnt

        • @konradp: thanks but I'm talking about today, not 6 months ago.
Plus the fact that I wasn't looking or interested in this phone 6 months ago but cheers all the same for your insight.

  • -6

All the items I had in my watch list are starting to be 'out of stock'. None sold in the last month.

    • +2

      That's not grounds for a negative vote…

      • Ah I didnt notice the 20% off selected items only

  • +2

Code just worked for me at Ted's Cameras. Bought Canon 85mm 1.8 for $409 delivered (normally $509).

Confirmed that it went right through the paypal process WITH the discount.

  • Made a purchase at 10:07AM for a nexus 6 from Kogan, Discount showed on the Ebay page but dissapeared on the paypal. Didn't notice until i had already paid, tried contacting Kogan asking if i can cancel the order or be refunded the discount. Hoping i can get the cash back.

  • Deal is back and working.

Just confirmed and getting pick up this afternoon for something I was going to buy today anyway.

  • Just not working for me. Trying to purchase a LG G4 from Kogan. As per message in OP, discount is applied at checkout, but then removed when I log in to paypal to finalise payment (and the 'X-TECH: Please enter the correct redemption code. Codes are not case sensitive' error is displayed).

  • +2

Still doesn't work on the Good Guys
Discount shows in Ebay cart page, but discount gone on Paypal checkout.

  • +2

    Just another eBay disaster promotion.

  • Sweet worked for me. Thanks op.

  • +6

Quote from ebay rep via online chat @ 1.09pm AEST

"Then I need to inform you that there is an ongoing issue in website while applying this code. Our technical team is working on it; hopefully it will be fixed very soon. So, I would request please try it after some time."

  • they have removed 20% code form most of the good guys items

  • +3

Well, the eBay code works and even the PayPal payment went fine without any issues…[ bing lee eBay store ]

    • Double check your bank statement/order emails. The price reverts at the very last moment of payment.

      • Thx Mate.. I checked email \ PayPal \ email order confirmation screen and fortunately, Voucher is applied :-).. so all good..I am glad, I got a very good specs laptop for $559 which was originally priced at $948 in Harvey Norman and $699 at Binglee…

      • Mate you might to update your sound quality expectations!

      • I think we're in the wrong timestream.

  • +3

Well I know ebay like to end sales early but this time they really have outdone themselves

  • Just got an email back from eBay;

Please be informed that due to a technical issue we have delayed the launch of our tech sale. We will still be offering 20% off selected tech brands as soon as the issue has been fixed and we will communicate the coupon code on our website.

If you were charged full price, you will be refunded the 20% discount, or at least I will be getting it back.

Have a wonderful day of waiting!

    • It doesn't say you'll be getting a refund.

      • +2

        Oh I left that part out of the comment, here I'll put it here;

At the same time, since you’ve already paid for the item above and to make it right with you, I have processed and submitted a credit request of AU $28.80 instead. This is the 20% equivalent of the item price of the above-mentioned item. Kindly wait for your refund on your PayPal account within 15-20 business days.
