        NEW Dyson 209468-01 V6 Handstick

  • +1

Just got the Moto G 3rd gen from GG for $268.80. Used my usual PayPal account, shows up as the correct amount on there and email invoice.

Hopefully they don't pull some bs and actually let me pick it up tomorrow :)

  • Would it be possible to delete all the existing cards/bank accounts from your PayPal except the one you want to use for payment i.e. I have a bank account and credit card in my PayPal account, but if I remove the bank account then the credit card should become the default payment method, no?

Tempted to buy the Dyson V6 animal, but already have a lot of other things I want to buy, so I'm talking myself out of it. One of those things is a dog, so maybe the Dyson will come in handy =P

    • +2

nope, you have to create a completely new account in the purchase process. in fact, you can't even have the same credit card number as an existing account (ie. you have to remove your credit card from your existing account, or use a different credit card).

also, make sure that your address matches the credit card billing address. I used the autofill address, thinking that was just the delivery address (which I use my work). that prevented my credit card from be autheticated, and thus i had to log in to paypal to authenticate before i could make the purchase - which stops you from purchasing with a new paypal account.

i had to create a new paypal account 3 times before it worked!

  • got correct 20% discounted price on ebay kogan.

  • Created a new paypal account and it works!
    I bought something from TGG

  • Worked for TGG Dyson V6 absolute

    • Been trying all day, even with new pay pal account

      • +1

        Try use code ctech

Tried all day also for the same product but managed to get it working with that one

      • I hope it works for you soon. I didn't do anything fancy or use cashrewards. I clicked on the product, buy now, apply the code c20tech and it showed the discount. I checked out with paypal and the discount was there so I proceeded. I check my paypal it withdrew the correct amount and all done.

For anyone interested, i just purchased a Sony KDL55W800C for $806, this TV doesnt show up on TGG ebay TV section. But i've got had it on my watch list, you can search listing/item number to bring it up (141724825718). Its C&C only it seems.

    Advertised Price $1095
    -$219 with 20% off code
    -$14.78 with cashrewards
-$55 Victorian energy incentive if you live in vic. https://energyincentive.com.au/
    =$806

I had to pay in full $1095 because code didnt work for me, the nice lady from ebay did it for me over the phone. She'll refund the 20% ($219) within 14days. Didnt want to wait and give TGG time to jack up the price or unlist it :)

    • Did your order go through because this 55'' isn't on the good guys website so it might get cancelled.

      • Yes went through, got confirmation from ebay and payapl. Just waiting for store to prepare for pick up, will know tommorow

    • Yep, CTECH worked for me on the "hidden" listing.

Amazing value for this TV @ $876 - very happy.

    • Thank you for the heads up, bought one too for our new house, great price!

    • +1

Nice tip, thanks. Got one @ $876 or so. Doesn't look like cash rewards tracked.

Netflix not working out of the box(nor with updates) but googling tells me this could be related to timezone setting

      • Picked mine up today, ebay refunded @219 :). My cashrewards tracked fine, the netflix app launched but i dont have a netflix account. Very happy with the tv so far

      • Netflix fixed itself. The smarts are far more functional than I anticipated but there have been a few bugs that have affected normal TV viewing (e.g. Blank screen when I know there is signal - reboot fixed).

Lots of apps and games to install and a decent amount of storage. Things have improved a lot since I bought my hx850 2 years ago and the 800C is probably going to take its place.

  • Got the Logitech MX Master for $87.20 (normally $109) from Futu. Worked all the way through to purchase.

    • curious…if you don't mind me asking

did you participate in the last C20TECH promotion that was offered? I know I did and I still can't use the code on Futu, Kogan and Sony store items

I wonder if this is why some people are reporting success with a new paypal account

      • No I didn't take part in the last one.

  • I just called ebay too and they said they code should be working properly by 9pm AWST, and to try again later. Hopefully the items stay in stock and at the same prices by then.

  • Is eBay going to come back with a new code (actual promotion) or is this an error?

  • +26

    Hi guys,

Just bought something from kogan. Use "ctech" instead of "c20tech". I can confirm it works!

    • Ho-lee crap - this worked for me too on Futu - been trying all day and now this works

      edit: receipt details all a-ok

    • I just used this code to buy the 64gb Evo micro sd card from Futu Online. Worked for me!

    • Thanks mate worked for me!

    • damn, wish i read this before going through the process of creating a new paypal account! :)

    • Anyone wants to post Apple watch sport 42mm black from Kogan ebay for $417.59 AUD.

Accidently found this code when buying this watch. I think it is a good bargain. Sorry im on my mobile

    • CTECH worked well for me too.

      thanks heaps!

  • +4

This must have been reverted as an emergency measure as they forgot to first increase the prices by 30% in preparation for the 20% off deal as per the usual script.

  • Super Smash Bros wiiU $62.40 at kogan

  • At the paypal page instead of logging in your own account, try to create a new account. It works for me

  • +1

confirm that code "CTECH" works, using existing paypal account.

i already purchased using "C20TECH" and a new paypal account, but "CTECH" will save you having to faff around and create a new account!

    • thanks. Ive asked the mods to update the code in the OP

  • I just used code: CTECH & got 20% off on a laptop at Big Lee.

    :-)

    • V6 stick sold out?

      I can't find it anymore….:(

      • Try this link.

        • Thanks.

SO I guess it's sold out from TGG, BingLee is cool still as long as I can get one for comparable price :)

  • so is the deal back on now with ctech

  • Just in Case Kogan continues to have no EVGA 970s on their ebay store, I have one in my cart from their regular online store.

Is it OK for Kogan to go out of stock as soon as the ebay discount starts, and then to still have stock for a more expensive price on their regular store?

    • +1

Yes Kogan can choose to list as much or little stock on the ebay shop as they like - there are different overheads for selling on ebay too..

I'm pretty sure ebay rules prohibit them from sending you to their site if the ebay runs out of stock

      • roger that, thanks for the information.

I guess that the argument that this product was ADVERTISED as being 20% off, and then went mysteriously out of stock, where the exact same product is in stock and more expensive at another store which is owned and operated by the exact same business entity…. Thats not a strong argument?

I just want my 970, and I'm feeling self-righteous, slap me down if I'm out of control :)

        • Agreed… I'm after a new card too… this would have been a good deal…

Hopefully it mysteriously comes back into stock… :)

Did it say how many items on the listing?

        • Thats not a strong argument?

The core question is probably, is a store allowed to decide what and how many of that item they want to put on sale? Or are they obliged to sell their entire stock of that item at the discounted price?

I don't think bait advertising applies here because it wasn't advertised or promoted at all. eBay never sent an email out and Kogan didn't tell you about it. If anything it'd be a listing or advertising error, at least based on what has happened so far.

        • @eug:

a listing or advertising error - indeed this may be plausible, but so is the argument that the 20% off being clearly stated on the product early in the day meant i) they have advertised the availability of the deal, just like putting a sign next to the item on a shelf and ii) are required to stock reasonable quantities of that item (going out of stock in 30mins with 3 orders seems insufficient).

you may be correct - but thats not going to stop me explaining to Kogan that I noticed they still have the 970 in stock on Kogan.com, they got fined for deceptive trade practices last year, and I would be open to contacting the accc regarding the issue.

Will tell all how goes…. or hopefully they put some more in stock and I can save the effort and vitriol for more deserving strangers.

        • @ozbjunkie:

          i) they have advertised the availability of the deal, just like putting a sign next to the item on a shelf
ii) are required to stock reasonable quantities of that item (going out of stock in 30mins with 3 orders seems insufficient).

Price labelling errors do happen in physical stores too. A store isn't obliged to honour a genuine price error. And before anyone brings it up, the supermarket scanning code of practice is voluntary and only applies to supermarkets who agree to it.

I think what matters here is whether or not it was advertised. If Kogan sent out emails telling you they're selling an eVGA GTX970 for 20% off, then you check ebay and it's out of stock right from the start, that's definitely a no-no.

But in this case, no store told anyone anything, apart from an ad on ebay that was quickly taken down. Kogan definitely didn't tell you they were selling an eVGA GTX970 at 20% off, so are they obliged to sell one to you?

I would be open to contacting the accc regarding the issue.

Do go ahead if you think there are solid grounds for it, that would help keep retailers on their toes.
Otherwise better not, there's no point in everyone overwhelming the ACCC or Fair Trading with reports that are iffy.

        • @eug:
Kogan definitely didn't tell you they were selling an eVGA GTX970 at 20% off,

—Actually, whether it was ebay or Kogan that placed the sign on the product… it was free to see to all, hence, they told everyone! and then these people told the rest of the internet. So, it was advertised, whether it was formally advertised directly to me as an anticipated consumer…. well I dont think thats part of the ACCC guidelines.

Indeed, will try not to be spurious if I do make a complaint, better not to ruin everyones day just because Im a cheapskate.

        • @ozbjunkie:

srsly im wanting a 980ti too but Kogan is not at fault here, they might opt out of the ebay promotions [by going out of stock] and id suspect ACCC will give you a similar response to Bupa's #sunniegate

        • @jabroni:

Not trying to besmirch Kogan (srs) - but would love some pressure for stores not to remove hot products from ebay "sitewide" promotions.

I feel like I'm good on the ends, but as you say, perhaps flawed in my means.

Someone poke me when the 970s are cheap zzzzzzzzz

edit to say: have contacted Kogan privately so no further whining on my end for now.

        • @ozbjunkie:

well go msg them on their facebook or something public where they have to make an official statement

        • Back in stock now.

  • Worked for me just now with good guys purchase from eBay to PayPal 20% of c20tech

  • Yes worked for IPad Air from Good Guys $383 delivered. Thanks! Used CTECH

  • CTECH good on good guys

  • Code works for kogan.

  • Confirmed CTECH is good on Good Guys as well. Just bought Moto G 3rd Gen for $268.8

  • CTECH worked for me on purchase through Sony using existing PayPal account (which previously was not working).

  • Gold 32GB LG G3 855 for $345.59 at the Kogan ebay store with CTECH code, save some more pennies with cashback too.

  • Glad I checked back in before setting up a new paypal account…CTECH worked with Futu_Online…thanks!

  • Still getting, "X-TECH: Please enter the correct redemption code. Codes are not case sensitive." PayPal error with Kogan.

    • try c20tech

edit: now neither of the codes work…

      • yeah I used that code. tried again.
This time I decided to try buy items without using cart function.
        Still no luck.

I suspect, they fixed it and I just missed out and it stopped working again.
Thankfully Kogan added another qty of the item I'm looking for so I don't need to rush into buying it now.

  • bought samsung ultra2 480gb ssd for 188. Tx

  • CTECH worked for me half an hour ago, bought a Dyson cordless and a camera lens

  • You can buy the Kogan GTX980 for $600 using c20tech

The error happens at the next payment screen, not at checkout (for those it effects).

      • I grabbed the MSI 980ti for $878. Going to be a massive upgrade over my current 770.

  • CTECH worked for me on TGG eBay store at approx 6.30pm AEDT

  • CTECH worked - Dyson v6 $356 pickup. Goodguys

  • +1

ctech worked for me on FutuOnline just now. (Bought new MSI Laptop, saved 400 odd dollars!)

  • Any SSD deals?

    • FutuOnline sells a few models, I got the Samsung 500gb for $204

  • +1

CTECH worked for me- buying a black leather LG G4 @ 7.59pm

    • Great! How much did you pay for it?

      • +2

        $441.59

I know it is a grey import still, but I have had a good run with Kogan so I'm happy with that. The only way you'd get a cheaper on new is via the androidenjoyed deal ($410 plus shipping, works out a few dollars cheaper) but the reviews for that place are fairly mixed.

        • Yeah that's right better to go with Kogan for phones. I might hold off for a bit till the price hits the $380-400 mark.

  • +1

CTECH worked for me, just saved $71.80 and bought a nighthawk R8000 router :) thanks!

  • Any thoughts on this?
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-LG-49UF680T-49-124cm-UHD-LED-…

49" UHD for $800…100hz too. Can't seem to find any reviews of the tv though..

    • Is this the same TV? http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/lg/uf6800
Still, I think it would be a good buy if 2 HDMI ports is enough for you (also no headphone out which most won't mind)

      • It has a different model number but it could be the same tv..just tossing up between this one or the 55" Sony FHD KDL55W800C. UHD would be nice to have but bigger size and arguably better picture quality. hmm
