    It is a deal just like the deals where a game is free if you own a selected graphic card.

      How is that the same? "Buy one thing, get something else free" is a valid deal. This is "Already bought something, so we'll give you another one you can't even use" because if you already own it in your steam library, you can't add it a second time.

        You do realise that Darksiders 2 deathinitive edition is a direct upgrade to the normal darksiders 2. It isnt just a collection of DLC. It contains a number of upgrades to the standard edition.
        As far as i know, people were upset when Nordicgames released the deathinitive edition and only gave a discount to those who owned the game and all the dlc instead of a direct free upgrade. (Dont quote me on that though…)

        So in reality this is still a deal because a person with the game and all dlc's is getting a direct upgrade for FREE.
