I went to the Local Athletes Foot yesterday after my very old New Balance died. I had to pay $189 for the only pair of shoes in my size in the store and they are UGLY but I was desperate. Can anyone recommend where I can buy New Balance in a walking/cross training/outdoor style for a decent price? Are the details off the box all I need to risk buying online? I.E. 13 EEE (X)

Don't know where you live, but if you can drive to a DFO, it is worth going as there is lots of shoe shops and often shoes are cheap. A lady I know has a son with size 15 feet and she is always going to DFO to find him shoes.
I am most comfortable in New Balance wide fit shoes, so I go to the New Balance outlet at DFO to get a good selection of them.

You may be right. The shoes I bought actually aren't New Balance because they didn't have any that fit. I usually but New Balance and prefer them. I'll have to figure out the equivalent size.
