Remember Club Nintendo? Well, that rewards system closed down last year and now, a new one launched today to replace it - and it's called My Nintendo.

Nintendo are giving away a copy of Flipnote Studio 3D as a limited time offer to mark the release of My Nintendo.

To obtain a free copy of Flipnote Studio 3D, follow these steps:

  1. Sign up for an account.
  2. Complete the tutorial (collect first 100 points and redeem a Points Box).
  3. Click on "View all rewards" (located above the colourful squares).
  4. Scroll to the very bottom and click on the app.
  5. Click "Redeem" and a download code will generate after confirming.

      The whole Club Nintendo discontinued a while ago, those points expired a while back last year.

      Gone.

      Nintendo wiped the slate clean with their closure of Club Nintendo. They had put up a heap of stuff for redemption and a lot of notice before it went down.

      There was plenty of notices of it closing. From emails, bargains on here related to stars, etc.

        Try fully closing the app store & reopening.
        I bookmarked the app yesterday when it wasn't available - it kept showing that "not available locally" message until I closed & then searched for the title from scratch.

        only having digital rewards is dissapointing. wheres the physical stuff?
        there's only 1 free full game and that's warioware touched, the rest are % (% off FULL RRP EEK) off or eshop stuff.

    Yep… so Miitomo crashes instantly when I try to open it… :(

      Apparently Miitomo automatically crashes on rooted phones, you won't be able to use it on that device.

    It kept erroring when I tried to open it on LG G4, restarted the phone and all is good.

    Has anyone been able to redeem the 200 pp for having a Club Nintendo account?

    I got some spam about it this morning with a code in it but I can't see any way to redeem.

      There is a "Menu" tab on the very top-left corner of the page. Clicking on it then reveals a "Redeem a points code" button.

    Got this and WarioWare Touched for free already.

    Plus their phone app is nowhere near as horrid as I thought it would be, I'll enjoy using it to grind my way to the free Picross game I won't ever even play.

    Good job Nintendo, for (so far at least) doing a great job at the mobile stuff.

      Oh my God, yes. Close your phone, reopen, and a good 20 seconds later you'll be back in the game if you're lucky.
