  Too often these sales are a joke. They have one sale after the next, each with different conditions about which price the % comes off, and what is eligible. When I told a staff member that I couldn't understand it (after some complex explanation for why my article was not going to be cheaper the next day when a sale was supposed to start) she said "yeah, most of the time we don't understand it either".
  The only good sales at Myer are the ones where discounts (accidentally) stack with reduced prices.

    I don't think that applies to Myer only but it's to all retailers. Every month they will pick an event to do a sales, be it easter, mother's day, father's day, queen's day anzac you name it, but the prices are just all year price.

      True, but Myer is more confusing than average. Last time they had something like "40% off homeware", and the next day they were going to have "30% off sales prices". Logically one would imagine that homeware would get discounted more, but it wasn't because the articles "weren't on sale, they were just discounted". Go figure.

  You can pricematch the apple macbooks at officeworks and get 5% off, but only 2-3 months left until the new macbooks are released.

  Easter eggs were 75% off yesterday. They had heaps of Lindt and gourmet varieties, like 70% dark choc, which ended up a reasonable price.
