      edit - Negged, ok.

Tri-fit SIM: Fits all devices that require Standard, Micro and Nano SIM cards.

Good feature - worth the 5 cents!

Why can't other idiot SIM Providers have this?

Incredible in 2016 that you cannot get (say) an Aldi SIM that fits into an iPhone.

    • thought the same .. Vodafone (who make the Kogan Sims) are the only ones that have been doing it for some time.

    • To date, only Vodafone and Optus SIMs are tri-fit.

      • Telstra ones are too.

        • Thanks, that must be a new thing then.

Grab a few for the next free data day.

    • Scissors worked for me.

The disadvantage is you need an adaptor if you want to use your trimmed down nano SIM in a device that needs a full-sized (1FF), mini or micro SIM.

Unless you're much better with the scissors than I am.

      • Or you could spend 2 bucks on a SIM card cutter and 2 bucks on a SIM card adaptor on eBay.

      • You only need to use your old SIM as a template to cut with scissors

For the record … I was a previous Vodafone customer for many years and ported to Kogan (same network) and have found it a great service, I pre-pay for a year and find the price great and they chuck in bonus data every now and then which makes it even sweeter.. if you get vodafone service in your area, I can not recommend this enough .. good to see Kogan finally got it right.

    • But it's presently 3G only, right?

this is the perfect sim to port in and port out of amaysim starter packs i've collected =)

Can you also use lycamobile free sims?

  • I bought one a month ago but it is bad reception. Even no signal in my bed room near by parramatta rd Sydney.

  • As far as I know, you can't activate the service without buying credit during activation. So it will not serve the purpose if you just want to port in and port out.

    • It sort of works.
It doesn't let you make calls without credit.

I activated one, but didn't complete the last step of payment.
However I was able to Port the kogan sim number to amaysim.

Also got multiple calls from kogan in regards to that number and whether I'd be with kogan mobile

      • as cwongtech says.

I didn't put any credit on it but can receive calls and sms messages via the kogan sim.

        that's all I need

you hit the ACTIVATE button and then you go to the payment screen.

        • I didn't put any credit on it but can receive calls and sms messages via the kogan sim.

Note, the sim won't receive SMSes after the first day or so due to low credit (I tried). I think it wouldn't receive calls either.
However it will be activated under your name.

        • @cwongtech: I just checked if the activated 2 weeks ago -but no credit- kogan sim could receive messages and it can.

        • @altomic: I checked again- activated (but no credit) kogan sim could still receive messages and calls.

Should just get Lycamobile free sim. Just request for a Nano for a Tri-Fit Sim…

Uses Telstra network (They definitely have 3G but I don't know about 4G)

  • Had problems porting from Lebara to Kogan.

    Port initiated 12:13AM 16 Apr 2016, then rejected 6mins later at 12:19AM.

Lebara Joe ref# 4131204 confirmed DOB for prepaid all correct, terminated status was incorrectly applied to outgoing service.

Port repeat request on 10:06AM 17 Apr 2016 created by Kogan Musean ref# 200524 and Vishaal ref# 200617, then rejected 3mins later at 10:09AM. Then account activated 10:12AM, BUT no signal connected to inserted SIM card.

Self fixed problem but the terminated status is concerning for anyone porting out of Lebara.

      1) Before porting, call Lebara (1300) 126 122, customer rep (option 5, twice), and ask your DOB be updated to the backend porting system database, otherwise your port request will be rejected.

Personal details are are not automatically updated for porting out, and need to be manually actuated by an operator.

Internet connectivity will also be barred until midnight of that day. Ensure internet APN settings are correct according to your handset and carrier as specified on this informative website. So step one must be done prior to 8pm, then internet will activate after midnight.
