Get an additional 6 months free Presto. For existing customers in their last month OR for new customers.

SMS Presto to 0484100900 from any mobile that you have not already used to SMS this number.

This will give you a code starting with TEL that can be used to get an additional 6 months free Presto if you are in your last free month prior to 31 July 2016. Get the code now and use before 31 July 2016.

Similar to a previous free 6 months Presto but with a different number to SMS to. And with this one the code you receive is valid for use until 31 July 2016.

  • damn.. I cancelled my subscription and account just 2 days back. That's after forgetting to cancel it before first 6 months and they have charged my card for a month when I saw it. Then went on can cancelled.
    Not a bad deal. They are adding relatively new and good movies every now and then.

  • If you are using a gmail account then you can use your existing account by two ways.

    (1). You can add / remove a dot "." or multiple dots.

    so in a case of removal,

    "[email protected]" will become "[email protected]".

    You will still receive email into your account as for gmail, As "." doest not matter. You can try by sending email to you account by removing or adding a dot.

    In case of case adding ".",

    then "[email protected]" will become [email protected] [you can put a dot anywhere]

    (2). Add "+sample_string". Let's say your address is "[email protected]" or "[email protected]" then you want to add string/text "presto9".

    Then

    "[email protected]" will become "[email protected]" and

    "[email protected]" will become "[email protected]"

    You can use any arbitrary text in place of presto9 as given in above example.

  • Terrible service, tried to use this in chrome so i could use chromecast and i couldn't get the stupid plugin needed to work, forget about it.

    • What plugin? Seemed to connect fine to me unlike the trouble I have with PLEX Media

      • From memory it either uses silverlight or uses the widevine plugin, and that never worked for me either one…. so gave up.

  • Argh - not working for me. I am on a 2 month free trial already, and am in the second (final) month of my trial, but it's not accepting the 6 month promo code. Any ideas? Otherwise I'll just cancel and reregister and see what happens.

    I do not have a clue. Netflix is much better you just sign up, no 1,2,3 BS. Only Telstra could screw things up like this.

    I just tried sending an sms and received the reply that "Your message did not match an active promotion and was not processed". Anyone else receive this and/or know how to get around it?

    I subscribed as new customer yesterday, as they required you to put in your credit card, although is $0, but they charged me $1(checked my credit card account today).
    Have anyone encounter this problem?

      Yes, I sent them a very nasty email and informed them that I WILL be taking this further !!

      Totally unacceptable, be it $0.01 or $10,000 you have NOT given them permission to draw ANYTHING from your credit card.

        This is very common and is known as a pre-authorisation, I don't believe this is an actual charge, it is just a hold of that amount to test that you have entered a valid creit card. It usually disappears in a few business days. Companies should definitely inforrm customers that this will happen and the reason for it, but most don't.

        • Yeah… they dont actually take any money, however it does reduce your available credit which can be a problem depending on how close you are to your credit limit, $1 is not likely to cause much of an issue, but when a hotel preauthorises a larger amount thats when things get a bit iffy.

        I had the same when joining Golden casket (lotto) they took $0.01 but the thieving bank said lotto is gambling so it is a cash advance and hit me with a $2.50 fee. To really rub it into me the bank hit me up for $0.06 interest on the $2.50 at the end of month.

  • Has anyone know if you create a new account and apply the 3 months code, you can apply this new code to the existing account to extend it for another month?

    I have tried previously some codes can't be applied to an existing account.

    • That's what OP is suggesting. You'll need to wait until the final month of your 3 month trial to enter the code, ie. 31 days from date of account creation.

    Followed the instructions on the SMS, going to presto.com.au/telstra, logged in (existing subscriber), entered the promo code in the 'add promo code' tab and got

    Promo Code Error
    An error occurred when applying the promo code. Please review the troubleshooting guide to ensure you are applying the code correctly. If you continue to have further issues, please contact customer support at [email protected]

    Re-did it twice to make sure it wasn't a typo…

    • Just got the same msg I presume they have cancelled the coupons from this deal

    • I just had the same issue when trying to apply the promo code to my account. I tried creating a new account with it and it worked fine.
      Looks like they've stopped these codes from being used to extend existing accounts.

    • Able to use the 6 months code to extend my existing account. Not sure why others failed to do so

        • Working again now. Looks like there have been a lot of complaints from Telstra customers having issues entering their Promo Codes with 31 July 2016 expiry.

          By working again I mean the code you got a couple of months ago had an expiry of 31 July 2016. Presto stopped honouring these codes a week or so ago. They now appear to be honouring these earlier issued codes once again.

          As for getting a new code, that expired a couple of months ago.

    • Created an account for a family member using the code and it worked. So in my case it just didn't work for my existing account.

      Just change your credit card number to a non active card number.
