Branded power banks are all about the same and none of them really deliver the advertised capacity. However the take home message is — do not buy no branded power banks.

Most of these brand name powerbanks source their lithium ion cells from LG, Samsung, and other Chinese/Taiwanese manufacturers.

    Xiaomi basically buy or invest in companies to make products under the Mi brand or to be sold on the Mi store. A two year old source is here. Since then they've got significantly more under their wing.
